Today, it is sad to say that every second person has started considering himself an online Quran teacher. He has neither understanding of the Quran, nor a deep understanding of it, nor knowledge of Tajweed, nor correct recitation, nor knowledge of the pronunciation of letters. The limit is that there are many people who have not studied in a regular seminary, nor are they Hafiz-e-Quran.
Teaching the Quran is no ordinary job. It requires special training, a special education, and a special qualification. The Quran teacher should at least be someone who can read the Quran correctly with Tajweed and pronunciation, have basic knowledge of translation and interpretation, and it is better that he is also a Hafiz-e-Quran. If he is teaching the Quran, he should also know what are the principles of teaching the Quran, how to correct the student, and how to fulfill the right of the Quran.
At least at the level of the Quran teacher, one must have an awareness of translation and interpretation, so that the Quran is not limited to mere words, but its message and purpose can also be understood. But unfortunately, today it is being seen that a person who is unemployed makes the Quran a means of trade. The purpose is no longer to serve the Quran, but only to earn money.
On this occasion, I would like to make a special request to parents, and indeed to all Muslims, that they themselves learn to read the Holy Quran with correct pronunciation and Tajweed, and do not just rely on sight, but must study translation and interpretation regularly. And when your children reach the age of understanding (adulthood or conscious age), then you must, must, must teach them the translation and interpretation of the Quran, so that the Quran becomes a guide for their lives, not just a book of rewards.
The Quran is neither a trade, nor a mere means of livelihood; it is a trust from Allah, a great responsibility, which can be fulfilled only with sincerity, knowledge and fear of God.
