e requisite standards and bring it in line with the needs of the official curriculum. The Commission shall:
•design, develop, implement, maintain,
monitor and evaluate a system of
examination and assessment for
elementary education;
• grant certificate who have qualified the said
examinations;
•conduct periodic diagnostic assessments to
identify areas for improvement in the
teaching learning process in all schools
and general education policy, planning
and implementation;
•advise the Directorate of Schools on
improvements of assessment practices in
schools as well as advice and support the
teacher training institutions on assessment
related trainings;
•identify teaching and learning gaps and
disseminate the same with the assistance
of the teacher training institutions and the
Directorate of schools;
•provide feedback to the Balochistan Textbook
Board, the authority for curriculum
development and review based on its
diagnostic assessments;
•enroll all private schools with the Department
of Education to participate in annual
Grade-V and VIII examinations conducted
by the Commission.
