Report on Annual Sports Week Prize Distribution Ceremony 2025.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony of the College Annual Sports Week was held with great enthusiasm and dignity on 15 -12-25 at sports ground .The event marked the successful conclusion of a week-long sports festival organized by the Department of Physical Education.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address by Prof Tanveer Hussain HoD Sports who highlighted the objectives of Sports Week and appreciated the efforts of students, teachers, and organizing staff.
The Principal of the College, Professor Dr. Siraj Ahmed Kakar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of sports and physical activities in developing discipline, leadership, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among students. He congratulated the winners and encouraged all participants to continue taking active part in sports.
Students actively participated in various events including Cricket, Football, Athletics, and Tug of war games. Winners and runners-up of all competitions were awarded trophies, medals, and certificates by the Chief Guest and honorable Heads of Departments and BPLA President Prof Abdul Qudoos Khan kakar.
Special prizes were also awarded for:
Best Athlete
Best Team
Best Discipline
Outstanding Performance.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal Prof Dr. Siraj Ahmed Kakar acknowledging the support of the college administration, sports committee members, referees, teachers, and students for making the event .

REPORT ON SEMINAR OF CLIMATE CHANGE

Introduction

A seminar on “Climate Change and Its Impact on the Environment” was organized by the UNICEF AND HEALTH DEPARTMENT GOVERNMENT OF BALOUCHISTAN

on [21 -10 -25]. The aim of the seminar was to create awareness among students about global warming, environmental degradation, and the urgent need for sustainable practices.

Objectives

The main objectives of the seminar were:

To educate students about the causes and effects of climate change.

To promote eco-friendly behavior and sustainable living.

To encourage students to participate in environmental conservation initiatives.

Details of the Event

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran / national anthem (optional) followed by a welcome address by Mr khalil ur Rehman SOCIALbehavior officer of health department
The chief guest and keynote speaker was Professor Dr. Siraj Ahmed Kakar Principal, Government Postgraduate science College. Quetta Environmental Scientist / Professor Dr Nellufar Jameel from SBKWU
In her presentation, the speaker discussed various aspects of climate change such as rising global temperatures, melting glaciers, unpredictable weather patterns, and their effects on human life and biodiversity.
The speaker also highlighted simple measures that individuals can take to reduce their carbon footprint, such as tree plantation, waste management, and the use of renewable energy sources.

After the presentation, an interactive question-and-answer session was held, during which students actively participated and shared their views and ideas.

Report on BS Inter-Departments Cricket Tournament Final match and Prize Distribution Ceremony

The Final Match of the BS Inter-Departments Cricket Tournament was held on [22 September 25] at the College Cricket Ground with great enthusiasm and excitement. The final was contested between the Department of BOTANY and the Department of ZOOLOGY both of whom had displayed outstanding performances throughout the tournament.

After winning the toss, the Department of BOTANY] elected to Bating first and set a competitive target of [186] runs in the 10 overs. In response, the Department of ZOOLOGY played with determination but fell short of the target, scoring 157 Rund thus giving Department of BOTANY a remarkable victory and the Championship Trophy.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony was held immediately after the match. The Principal/Chief Guest [ProfessorDr Siraj Ahmed kakar appreciated the players for their discipline, sportsmanship, and team spirit. Trophies and medals were awarded to the winning and runner-up teams, while special prizes were given for Best Batsman, Best Bowler, and Player of the Tournament.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the organizing committee, faculty members, and students whose efforts made the tournament a grand success. The Principal emphasized the importance of sports in building leadership, confidence, and a healthy lifestyle among students.

A meeting of the Heads of Departments was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Siraj Ahmed Karkar in the office of the Principal. All Heads of Departments were present at the meeting.

The meeting was regarding the forthcoming F.Sc admissions. During the meeting, the admission committees were briefed on various aspects of the admission process to ensure that students do not face any difficulties during the admission period.
