The Government Innovation Lab (GIL), University of Balochistan, proudly announces the successful completion of an international technical training program on inverter technology in collaboration with Suhang Mao Electronic Company, Suzhou, China a major step toward global collaboration and technology transfer.

💡 Achievement:
GIL Fellow Mr. Muhammad Rafiq completed a one-month specialized training fully supported by the host company, valued at over $5,000 USD.
The program provided hands-on exposure to advanced inverter production systems and quality practices, strengthening GIL’s capacity for future local assembly and innovation projects in Balochistan.

✅ Enhanced GIL’s technical expertise and international exposure.
✅ Built capacity for technology localization and sustainable innovation.
✅ Strengthened Pakistan–China collaboration in applied technology.

A distinguished delegation including Dr. Saleh Baloch (Secretary Education Colleges Higher & Technical Education Department, Govt. of Balochistan), Prof. Dr. Ghulam Ali Malla (ED, IBCC), Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Shahwani (Pro VC, UoB), Mr. Amir Zaib (Director Trainings, AFAQ Pakistan), Prof. Dr. Zainab Bibi (Dean, FMIS), Dr. Kaneez Fatima (Director, IMS), Prof. Dr. Jameel (IMS), and Dr. Shafeeq Awan (Consultant, IBCC) visited the Government Innovation Lab (GIL) and CERBM at the University of Balochistan.

The team appreciated the innovative R&D work and prototype solutions developed by GIL, acknowledging the Lab’s efforts in driving digital innovation and applied research across Balochistan. 💡🤝

University of Balochistan — Faculty Training & Development Centre (FTDC), in collaboration with CERBM and GIL, is organizing a 🎓 2-Day Capacity Building Workshop on “Enhancing Administrative Capacity through ICT & AI Tools.”

💡 This workshop aims to strengthen the digital and analytical skills of university officers through hands-on exposure to AI-powered tools and modern ICT solutions. Participants will learn to integrate smart technologies for improved workflows, efficient data management, and enhanced institutional performance.

Dated: 10-May-25, Government Innovation Lab (GIL), University of Balochistan, in Collaboration with AFAQ organized a meaningful program on the theme "Effective & Ethical Use of Generative AI for School Management & Administration."
The session was led by Dr. Waheed Noor, Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department and Director of CERBM-GIL. The event was attended by 18 principals and directors from across Quetta, and it offered valuable insights into the responsible integration of AI in educational leadership and management.
Mr. Saud Khan Alumni Fellow GIL introduced the participants to different valuable AI tools for education.

GIL and AFAQ are committed to transform education in Balochistan through responsible and ethical use of AI.
