Proud to present our Final Year Documentary on the Alhamra Arts Council, a project dedicated to highlighting the rich cultural, artistic, and literary heritage of one of Pakistan’s most prestigious art institutions.
This documentary was successfully completed under the valuable supervision and guidance of Ms. Moazma Fiaz by Syeda Saman Zahra, Izma Naeem, and M. Farhan. Through extensive research, creative storytelling, and visual documentation, the project showcases the vital role of Alhamra Arts Council in promoting arts, culture, and creativity in Pakistan.

یونیورسٹی آف گجرات کے سینٹر فار میڈیا اینڈ کمیونیکیشن اسٹڈیز کے زیرِ اہتمام، یورپی یونین اور CPDI کے تعاون سے منعقدہ دو روزہ میڈیا ٹریننگ میڈیا لٹریسی اور ڈیجیٹل حقوق پر کامیابی سے اختتام پذیر ہو گئی۔ دوسرے دن غلط معلومات، میڈیا میں خواتین و اقلیتوں کی نمائندگی، اور تنقیدی میڈیا صارف بننے جیسے موضوعات پر سیشنز ہوئے۔ اختتام پر شرکاء کو اسناد اور ریسورس پرسنز کو شیلڈز دی گئیں جبکہ یونیورسٹی انتظامیہ اور شراکت دار اداروں کا شکریہ ادا کیا گیا۔

A two-day workshop on “Media Literacy and Digital Rights” was organized by the Centre for Media and Communication Studies, University of Gujrat, in collaboration with the European Union and the Centre for Peace and Development, Islamabad. The workshop aimed to equip students with the skills to critically evaluate social media content, identify misinformation, and promote responsible digital communication.
The inaugural session was attended by Professor Dr. Zahid Yousaf, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, while Dr. Muhammad Yousaf served as the focal person and resource speaker. Sessions were conducted by legal expert Farrukh Mushtaq Chaudhry and Dr. Faiza Bajwa, focusing on information disorder, digital literacy, fact-checking, and responsible use of social media. Faculty members, including Ms. Moazma Fiaz, were also present.
Speakers emphasized the importance of verifying information, combating fake news, and promoting ethical journalism and digital citizenship in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape.
