The International Chinese Language Day was established by the United Nations, Department of Public Information in 2010. April 20 was chosen as the date "to pay tribute to Cangjie, a mythical figure who is presumed to have invented Chinese characters about 5,000 years ago".

April 20, 2022 is the 13th International Chinese Language Day, and the Center for Chinese Language Education and Cooperation and the ChinesePlus cooperated to organize the International Chinese Language Day with the theme of "Chinese Language: Together for a Bright Future".

The Confucius Classroom at CCP held a cultural performance and cultural experience on the International Chinese Language Day in cooperation with the teachers and students of the Pak-China International School & College System. All Chinese faculties and students from the Confucius Classroom at CCP, as well as the teachers and students from the Pak-China International School participated in this event together.

The teachers introduced the origin of the "International Chinese Language Day". Afterwards, students from Confucius Classroom and Pak-China International School sang the Chinese songs , and performed folk dances and Chinese Kung Fu. The teachers also introduced a variety of traditional Chinese games. And teachers taught the students to learn the ink-blowing painting, experience various traditional Chinese games such as shuttlecock, rope skipping and tug of war.

On March 25, Confucius Classroom at CCP and Pak-China International School & College System Jamshoro Campus held a signing ceremony to establish a Chinese teaching site jointly. Prof. Shao Yin, the Chinese Director of the Confucius Classroom at CCP, Prof. Kashif Zia Durrani, the DOS of CCP & Pakistani Director of Confucius Classroom, Mahira Noor Abbasi, the principal of Pak-China International School, and all faculty members of Confucius Classroom attended the signing ceremony.

The Confucius Classroom at CCP currently has two Chinese teaching sites, the first of which is established in March 2018 at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro. Pak-China International School & College System Jamshoro Campus is the second Chinese teaching site set up with Confucius Classroom. Confucius Classroom will have in-depth cooperation in Chinese teaching, Chinese cultural activities and Chinese HSK proficiency exams in the future.

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝘂𝗰𝗶𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗖𝗣

On February 26th, the Confucius Classroom at CCP held the first Chinese Movie Day, which attracted more than 100 students. The Chinese Movie Day was held in the new cultural activity room which is equipped with high-definition multimedia equipment and decorated with a variety of beautiful Chinese cultural items. Students said that the display in the cultural activity room made them feel like they were in China.

The movie which played for the students is the excellent Chinese animation film "Journey to the West: The Return of the Great Sage”. The students were excited to say that it was their first time watching a Chinese animation film and they didn't expect it to be so interesting and they really liked "The Great Sage".

Professor Shao Yin, the Director of the Confucius Classroom at CCP, said that the Movie Day held by the Confucius Classroom not only enliven the campus and create a good Chinese learning atmosphere, but also make students know more about Chinese movie culture and enriched their life after-school.

The "Movie Day" is one of the series of cultural salons in the Confucius Classroom, which aims to make students understand Chinese culture and enhance their interest in learning Chinese through excellent Chinese movies. The “Movie Day” event will continue throughout the year, with two outstanding films will be shown each month.

On February 16, the award ceremony for the 2022 China Soong Ching Ling Foundation “Junior Cultural Ambassadors” contest was held virtually, which was jointly sponsored by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and China Cultural Centers abroad, and organized by China Soong Ching Ling Science & Culture Center for Young People.

Ali Shaheryar, a student recommended by Confucius Classroom at CCP, won the title of “Junior Cultural Ambassadors”, while Amroz Ali and Muhammad Hasnain Ali won the "Excellence Award" and “Popularity Award”.

At the award ceremony, Ali Shaheryar's video entry was selected as the outstanding entry for the exhibition. The three contestants will also be invited to China for cultural exchange activities in the future. The Pakistan Center for Chinese Cultural Studies congratulated the winners and hoped that the contestants would continue to make more contributions to the cultural exchange between China and Pakistan in the future.

The "Beijing Winter Olympics Junior Cultural Ambassadors" contest has collected more than 200 video entries from Chinese and foreign youths in 32 countries across five continents. After the preliminary evaluation, 100 finalists were selected for online voting, and then strictly re-evaluated by experts, and the final evaluation of the finalists was conducted according to the expert ratings and online voting, and 30 "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" winners were selected worldwide. The winners came from 18 countries, including China, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, South Korea, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Belarus, Serbia, Malta, Finland, Belgium, Spain, UK, Egypt, Tanzania, Canada, etc. Among them, 10 were from China and 20 from overseas.
