· 🩻 Radiology – 6th Samester Students: Completed 1 month of hands-on internship
· 🔬 MLT – 6th Semester Students: Completed 2 months of intensive training
· 🧪 MLT – Final Semester Students: Completed 3 months of advanced internship

🩸 A new chapter for community health!

We are proud to announce that the Department of Allied Health Sciences has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Alkhidmat Blood Bank & Diagnostic Center Nishtarabad Peshawar.

This collaboration will open new doors for:
✅ Hands-on clinical training for our students.
✅ Joint research and diagnostic skill development.
✅ Strengthening community access to quality blood banking and lab services.

Together, we are bridging the gap between academic excellence and real-world healthcare delivery.

World MLT Day Celebration at City University

The Department of Allied Health Sciences at City University celebrated World Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Day with active participation from all students and faculty members. The event was graced by the Head of Department (HOD) of Allied Health Sciences Dr Raisa Bano and the Dean of Allied Health Sciences Dr Muhammad Ismail Khan and our respected Chief Guest Dr Musawer Ibrar, whose presence inspired the future laboratory professionals. The day featured insightful speeches, presentations, a short skit, Quiz, model competition and a cake cutting ceremony at the end, all highlighting the vital role of MLT professionals in healthcare. The celebration concluded with a group photograph and a short walk with banner, reinforcing the department's unity and commitment to excellence in diagnostic medicine.

Alhamdulillah! Another milestone achieved ✨

Department of Allied Health Sciences signed an MoU with Chughtai Labs & Dental Studio to provide our Dental Technology students access to state-of-the-art labs and facilities, including CAD/CAM and modern dental interventions.

Sincere thanks to the Honorable President, Worthy Vice Chancellor, Respected Registrar, Dean of AHS, and all the administrative staff of CUSIT for supporting this initiative. 🤝

On April 9, 2026, the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at CUSIT organized a university-wide training session on Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE). The session was specifically designed for faculty members tasked with preparing Self-Assessment Reports (SAR) for their respective departments.
We were honored to have Ms. Mahwish Asmatullah (Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University) as the resource person, who provided invaluable guidance on best practices for SAR development.
Faculty members from the Department of Allied Health Sciences actively participated in the session to enhance their understanding and contribute to a best-in-class SAR report for their department.
Together, we are building a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence. 👏📊

A delegation from the Faculty of Health Sciences City University recently visited AlKhidmat Hospital for the purpose of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). During the visit, the team also toured the hospital’s facilities to assess their services and infrastructure in preparation for the proposed partnership, which aims to support the clinical practice of our students across multiple programs, including BS MLT, BS Anesthesia, BS Radiology, BS Cardiology, BS Dental Technology, and DPT.

The Department of Allied Health Sciences has officially signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading healthcare institutions, reinforcing our commitment to practical, community-focused education and collaborative innovation.

Our valued partners include Rehman Medical Institute (RMI), Muhammad Medical Complex (MMC) Hospital, Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC), and Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) — offering our students and faculty valuable exposure to diverse and dynamic patient care environments.

In addition, our collaborations with Akbar Kare Institute and Paraplegic Centre Peshawar will create specialized opportunities for focused research and advanced training in rehabilitation and specialized care.

These strategic partnerships will enhance our academic excellence, strengthen clinical training, and promote impactful research to address pressing healthcare challenges in our region.
