The Assessment Team visit for the review of Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) of the MS and PhD (Islamic Business & Finance) programs under PREE standards was held today, Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the QEC Offices of Institute of Management Sciences from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

Dr. Muhammad Nouman from The University of Agriculture Peshawar participated as the External Reviewer and provided valuable insights regarding academic quality, program effectiveness, and continuous improvement mechanisms.

The review meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Shafiullah Jan, Prof. Dr. Karim Ullah, Prof. Dr. Fahad Abdullah, and Mr. Ijaz Ahmad. The session focused on evaluating the programs in line with PREE quality assurance standards.

At the conclusion of the visit, a souvenir was presented to the esteemed external reviewer as a token of appreciation for his valuable contribution.

The Quality Assurance Cell (QAC), Higher Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in collaboration with QEC-IMSciences, successfully organized a comprehensive training session on the “Revised Quality Assurance Framework” for KP Colleges on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in the RSB Hall of IMSciences.

The training brought together more than one hundred representatives from various colleges across the province to strengthen understanding of the revised quality assurance mechanisms, institutional effectiveness, and self-assessment practices in higher education.

Mr. Abdul Akram, Additional Secretary, Higher Education Department KP, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the pivotal role of teachers in uplifting the quality of BS programs in colleges and highlighted the importance of continuous academic improvement and institutional accountability.

The inaugural session also featured insightful remarks by Prof. Dr. Usman Ghani, Director IMSciences, and Dr. Imran Ullah Marwat, Director Quality Assurance, HED KP, focusing on the significance of quality enhancement and sustainable reforms in higher education institutions.

A detailed session on the HEC Revised Quality Assurance Framework was conducted by Dr. Imran Ullah Marwat, while Mr. Ijaz Ahmad, Assistant Manager QEC, IMSciences, delivered an extensive hands-on session on preparing Self-Assessment Reports (SAR) under the revised PREE format.

Prof. Dr. Zeeshan Zeb Khattak, NUST Business School, Islamabad, served as the External Reviewer and provided valuable expert feedback on the academic quality and continuous improvement mechanisms of the programs.

The meeting was convened by Prof. Dr. Shahid Ali, Program Director - MS and PhD (Management) and remained in session from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the QEC Office. The review process focused on evaluating program effectiveness, academic standards, and compliance with PREE quality assurance requirements.

At the conclusion of the visit, Prof. Dr. Fahad Abdullah, Senior Manager QEC, presented a souvenir to the distinguished guest as a gesture of appreciation.

Assessment Team Meeting - BS (Psychology)

Thursday, May 7, 2026 - The Assessment Team meeting for the BS (Psychology) program under the Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) framework was held today at the QEC Office, Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar. Prof. Dr. Fahad Abdullah, Senior Manager QEC, welcomed the participants and highlighted the significance of continuous quality enhancement in academic programs.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Sylvia Ali Khan, Consultant Psychiatrist at Northwest General Hospital and Research Centre, Peshawar, as External Member, along with Program Team members and QEC representatives. The Assessment Team reviewed the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) of the BS (Psychology) program and discussed various recommendations aimed at strengthening academic quality, research activities, laboratory facilities, student support mechanisms, and faculty development.

At the conclusion of the session, a souvenir was presented to the external expert by Prof. Dr. Aamir Taj, Head of the School of Social Sciences & Humanities, as a gesture of appreciation for her valuable participation and expert input.

The 4th Meeting of the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) was successfully held today at 3:00 PM in the Conference Room.

The session was presided over by Prof. Dr. Atta ur Rahman, Joint Director, while Prof. Dr. Fahad Abdullah presented the agenda items for discussion. The meeting focused on strengthening quality assurance practices and reviewing key institutional initiatives.

The IQC remains committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in academic and administrative processes.

Self-PREE 2025-26 | MS (Project Management)

The Assessment Team for MS (Project Management) met today, Tuesday, April 21, 2026, to review the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) as part of the Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) 2025-26 at IMSciences, Peshawar.

The team comprised Prof. Dr. Saleem Gul (Convener), Dr. Muhammad Atiq, Dr. Gohar Saleem Parvaiz, Dr. Mehnaz Gul (External Expert, University of Peshawar), and Prof. Dr. Fahad Abdullah (Senior Manager QEC).

The meeting evaluated the programme against the HEC PREE Standards, reflecting IMSciences' ongoing commitment to academic quality and continuous improvement. 💡

Mr. Ijaz Ahmad, Assistant Manager, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), IMSciences, delivered a guest lecture on Quality Management to the students of 7th semester BS (Tourism and Hospitality Management) program at IMSciences on April 14, 2026.

The session provided valuable insights into the Principles of Quality Management, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and key standards including ISO 9001:2015, along with other ISO frameworks relevant to the hospitality industry.

The lecture aimed to equip students with practical knowledge and industry-relevant understanding of quality standards, essential for professional excellence in the field of tourism and hospitality.

Prof. Dr. Fahad Abdullah, Senior Manager, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), IMSciences, is representing the Institute at the 6th International Conference of the Pakistan Network of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PNQAHE), being held from April 13–15, 2026 at Baqai Medical University, Karachi.

His participation reflects IMSciences’ continued commitment to strengthening quality assurance practices and fostering academic excellence through national and international collaboration.

IMSciences Hosts QAA–HEC Review Panel for Review of Institutional Performance and Enhancement (RIPE)

The Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar, had the privilege of hosting the Quality Assurance Agency – Higher Education Commission (QAA-HEC) Review Panel for the Review of Institutional Performance and Enhancement (RIPE) from February 10–12, 2026.

During the three-day visit, the panel conducted an extensive review of institutional performance through presentations, evaluation of the Institutional Performance Enhancement Report (IPER) and supporting evidence, stakeholder meetings with management, faculty, staff and students, and visits to classrooms, laboratories, library, and other campus facilities. The visit concluded with the finalization of the review report and an exit meeting with the university leadership.

In the exit meeting with the Director IMSciences, the Convener of the panel expressed the team’s satisfaction with the Institute’s performance and shared constructive suggestions for further improvement. At the conclusion of the visit, Prof. Dr. Usman Ghani, Director IMSciences, presented souvenirs to the panel members as a gesture of appreciation.
