The Department of Management Sciences CECOS University successfully conducted its Board of Studies (BoS) meeting today, chaired by Dr. Muhammad Aleem, HoD .
The meeting featured detailed academic discussions on the implementation of the new business curriculum, along with the proposal and approval of various new academic programs aimed at strengthening academic excellence, industry relevance, and future focused learning opportunities for students.
Experts from academia, industry, and alumni also participated in the meeting and shared valuable insights and recommendations for academic and program development.

🌍 World Earth Day | 22 April
The Department of Management Sciences, CECOS University marked World Earth Day with a meaningful plantation initiative aimed at promoting environmental responsibility across campus 🌱
Under the directives of Dr. Muhammad Aleem, HoD , Ms. Mominah Riaz conducted the plant distribution activity, through which more than 380 plants were distributed among faculty members. The plants included indoor, outdoor, and hybrid varieties, encouraging practical steps toward sustainability in everyday life.
With Pakistan’s forest cover at around 5%, far below the recommended 25%, such initiatives highlight the importance of collective action. Each plant represents a step toward cleaner air, a healthier environment, and a more sustainable future.
The active participation of faculty members reflected a shared commitment to leading by example and promoting responsible practices beyond the classroom.

The Department of Management Sciences believes in practical learning as a core part of academic development.
This visit to Stanley Pharmaceutical assisted BBA 1st semester students in better understanding their Environmental Science course by exposing them to real world environmental management practices.
Observing waste management systems, pollution control measures, and sustainability initiatives helped students clearly relate theoretical concepts to actual industrial operations, reinforcing learning and building environmental awareness from the very beginning of their academic journey.

BBA final year students from the Department of Management Sciences visited FastMove Packages as part of their industry exposure initiative, under the supervision of Ms Mominah Riaz.
The visit provided students with in depth insight into packaging operations, supply chain coordination, quality assurance, and operational planning. Through direct interaction with industry professionals and observation of real time workflows, students developed a clearer understanding of how management concepts are applied in a practical business setting.
The experience also helped students build industry awareness, improve professional perspective, and better prepare for future careers.
