𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘄𝗮𝗯𝗶

On February 24, 2025, the KMU-Institute of Family Medicine (IFM), in collaboration with AIMS Sugar Hospital, organized a free medical camp at KMU-IHS Swabi.

The goal ? Early detection, proactive care and empowering the community to take control of their health.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅:

✅ Free blood sugar tests

✅ Screening for hypertension & other common illnesses

✅ Lifestyle and preventive care counseling

✅ Free medicines for diagnosed individuals

✅ Referral for further care

𝑫𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓?

- Diabetes is Pakistan's leading non-communicable disease.

- Early detection can change the trajectory sometimes with just a few small adjustments.

- Without screening, people unknowingly progress to full-blown disease, leading to serious complications and higher healthcare costs.

- Managing diabetic patients well can prevent devastating outcomes like kidney failure, heart disease, blindness etc

We were honored by the presence of 𝑫𝒓. 𝑲𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒅 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒅, Medical Director at Bacha Khan Medical Complex, who appreciated ongoing efforts in the region.
