The faculty and students (from interior design program) of the School of Art and Design at Iqra National University recently took an inspiring journey back in time with a visit to the historic Holy Trinity Church in Murree.

Nestled in the heart of the hills, this magnificent colonial-era landmark served as the perfect living classroom. Our students immersed themselves in its stunning Gothic architecture, intricate woodwork, and the timeless stories etched into its stone walls—capturing inspiration for their upcoming design and art projects.

From sketching structural details to studying historical aesthetics, it was an unforgettable day of learning beyond the classroom.

Market Survey | Fashion Forecast

The Art & Design Department organized a Market Survey activity on the topic “Fashion Forecast” for 2nd Semester students, designed to connect theoretical knowledge with real-time market practices. This educational visit enabled students to explore the fashion market and observe emerging trends, with particular emphasis on latest silhouettes, trending color palettes, styles, fabrics, and overall visual direction of contemporary fashion.

This practical exposure helped them understand the importance of fashion forecasting in predicting future trends and making informed design decisions.
After completing the market observation, students documented their research in detailed fashion forecast reports, supported by sketches, color boards, visual references, and written analysis.

As a key component of midterm assessment, students from the 3rd and 5th semesters successfully designed, manufactured, and finalized a line of weaved handbags. This project demonstrated their mastery of the course material and their ability to execute a complex product development process from conceptualization to a finished, market-ready item.

The Iqra National University observed its 15th Foundation Day on November 25, 2025. The anniversary celebration included a memorable cake-cutting ceremony attended by the full complement of faculty and staff members of School of Art & Design-INU.
