Peshawar – The Institute of Allied Health Sciences (IAHS), Khyber Medical University, proudly announces the successful completion of its first MPhil in Medical Laboratory Sciences, marking a significant academic milestone for the institution.

Mr. Azhar Mahmood successfully defended his research thesis titled “Molecular Detection of blaOXA-23 and blaOXA-24 in Drug Resistant Acinetobacter Species Isolated from Clinical Specimens in a Tertiary Care Hospital, Peshawar.”

The research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Ihsan Ali, Assistant Professor, IAHS-KMU, and co-supervised by Dr. Zahid Ullah Khan, Associate Professor and Head of Microbiology, Hayatabad Medical Complex.

The thesis was externally evaluated by Dr. Sadiq Noor Khan, Head, Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, University of Haripur, whose scholarly assessment and valuable feedback contributed to the academic rigor of the research evaluation process.

This achievement marks a significant development for IAHS-KMU and highlights the growing scope of postgraduate education and research in Medical Laboratory Sciences at Khyber Medical University. It is expected to encourage further academic and research activities within the discipline.

خیبر میڈیکل یونیورسٹی میں "ہم ہیں سخن نواز" کے نام سے کل پاکستان اردو مشاعرہ کامیابی سے منعقد ہوا۔ یہ شاندار ادبی محفل ہیومین کیئر فاؤنڈیشن اور خیبر میڈیکل یونیورسٹی کے باہمی اشتراک سے منعقد کی گئی، جس میں ملک بھر سے نامور شعرا نے شرکت کی اور اپنے خوبصورت کلام سے حاضرین کو محظوظ کیا۔
مشاعرے کی صدارت افتخار عارف نے کی جبکہ عباس تابش مہمانِ خصوصی تھے۔ محفل میں سید شمشیر حیدر، ڈاکٹر ساجد رحیم، اختر عثمان، رحمان فارس، ڈاکٹر عنبرین صلاح الدین، عمار اقبال، میثم نقوی، ڈاکٹر اسحاق وردگ، عزیز اعجاز، بشریٰ فرخ، شاہد اقبال اور عمیر مشتاق نے بھی شرکت کی۔
یہ خوبصورت تقریب پشاور میں اردو ادب کے فروغ کی ایک اہم اور یادگار کاوش ثابت ہوئی۔
