Heartiest congratulations to Mr. Haroon on the successful defence of his MPhil thesis in Medical Laboratory Sciences, supervised by Dr. Anwar Ullah. His pioneering research on the genetic architecture of leukemia patients from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) represents the first study of its kind in the region and reflects both the excellent supervision of Dr. Anwar Ullah and Mr. Haroon’s dedication and experimental accuracy. Professor Dr. Shah Taj Masood, Consultant Hematologist and Professor, served as the External Examiner and highly appreciated the scientific significance and quality of the research, while Dr. Habib served as the Internal Examiner. The session was facilitated and supervised by Mr. Abdur Rehman, Director IAHS, and Dr. Rizwan, Assistant Professor of Radiology and Director IHS Bannu, was also present and appreciated the research. Congratulations once again to Mr. Haroon, his supervisor, and the entire academic team on this remarkable achievement, which marks an important contribution to leukemia research and genetic elucidation in KPK.

Khyber Medical University (KMU) has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lady Reading Hospital-Medical Teaching Institution for the clinical training of Allied Health Sciences students.
The MoU signing ceremony was held today in the Committee Room of LRH-MTI. This renewed partnership will continue to provide KMU Allied Health Sciences students with quality clinical training and hands-on learning opportunities at LRH-MTI.

🎓 Congratulations to Our MPhil MLS Scholars!

The Institute of Allied Health Sciences (IAHS), Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, extends its heartfelt congratulations to its MPhil Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) scholars, Mr. Nasrullah, Mr. Matiullah, and Mr. Ammad, on the successful defense of their final thesis and viva voce. The students conducted their research under the supervision of Dr. Aamir Ali Khan, Director/Assistant Professor, KMU Institute of Health Sciences, Lakki Marwat. Their research focused on genetic and metabolic biomarkers in the diagnosis and prognosis of diabetic neuropathy severity in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, highlighting an important area of clinical and translational research.

The theses were evaluated by Prof. Dr. Sadiq Noor Khan Khattak, Chairman, Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, University of Haripur, as the External Examiner, and Dr. Asif Zeb, Lecturer, Institute of Allied Health Sciences, KMU Peshawar, as the Internal Examiner. The defense committee, which also included Mr. Awal Mir, Focal Person QEC, and Mr. Abdur Rehman, Director, appreciated the students for their outstanding research and successful presentations and extended their best wishes for their future academic and professional endeavors. The Institute of Allied Health Sciences, KMU Peshawar, congratulates the scholars and their supervisor Dr Aamir Ali Khan on this remarkable academic achievement and wishes them continued success in research and service to the healthcare profession.

Alhamdulillah!

Today, the research defence of MPhil Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) students Ms. Jeena Aziz, Mr. Shabbir Hussain and Ms. Umme Aiman was successfully conducted under the supervision of Dr. Anwar Ullah.

We are sincerely thankful to our respected external examiners, Dr. Arshad, Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Dr. Mehran Kausar, and Dr. Irfan for their valuable time, expert evaluation, and constructive feedback. We also extend our gratitude to Dr. Habib Wazir, who served as the Internal Examiner.

The occasion was further honoured by the presence of the Respected Director, KMU IAHS Peshawar, Mr. Abdur Rehman and focal person QEC Mr. Awal Mir.

Congratulations to the students and their supervisor on the successful completion of the research defence. We wish our students continued success in their academic and professional careers.
