Tips for verbal communication development
1) first and utmost important. Work on auditory and joint attention, be aware it's not mentainance of eye contact.
2) use functional language rather then alphabet and #
3) use simple command with optimal speech rate
4) give the processing time. Pauses are very important
5) communication is need show this to him
6) join his world, his play, his interest
7) intoduce a picture book for shared reading
