College Of Design Peshawar is a mile stone for the people of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, being the prime and unrivaled institute offering Design education. This initiative was taken by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan and a task was assigned to Pakistan Institute Of Fashion and Design Lahore, to establish a constituent college in the province of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. The Foundation Year introduces students to the study of design both in theory and practice. The course includes a broad spectrum of skills which enable the students to identify with design tools and processes, materials to develop suitable design ideas. The core feature of this programmes offers an exciting opportunity to experiment, investigate, explore and evaluate. The course provides an integral base for students to pursue their majors degree. The teaching methodology allows students to understand design through lectures, seminars, hands-on studio interaction, market research, group studies and projects. MODULE TITLES:

INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE:
The college will become unrivalled in Pakistan like its parent institute (Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design) when it comes to the international exposure it provides to its students. The students of programmes, currently offered at the College can go abroad on exchange programmes in the third year of their education. Every year top 5 students of Fashion Design will be sent to La Chambre Syndicale de La Couture in Paris, France for training. For the course development, training of teachers/ students and induction of new programmes, the college is currently in talk with the various universities and Institutes around the world for exchange programmes. ELIGIBILITY:
Intermediate with 50% marks (550/1100) or A-Levels with minimum 3 full subjects (not subsidiary). Applicants awaiting results are given conditional acceptance. Equivalence Certificates issued by IBCC for examinations other than FA/ FSc. Compulsory Aptitude Test in English, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Drawing and Creative Skills followed by Interview. Aptitude Test and interviews are conducted at PIFD Lahore. For candidates opting to appear at Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar and Islamabad, the Aptitude Test and the interviews are arranged at places communicated along with Roll Number Slip. Final Merit List is displayed simultaneously on Notice Board and PIFD website. Admissions are based on merit. Seats are allotted on the basis of merit and following provincial quota:
