STARTUP LAUNCHPAD | FINAL PITCH SESSION

The Directorate of Youth Affairs KP, in collaboration with the Business Incubation Center (BIC), University of Peshawar, supported the successful conclusion of the Startup Launchpad Pre-Incubation Bootcamp with a Final Pitch Session held on 16 September 2026.
Over three days, 50 aspiring founders developed their startup ideas through practical sessions on ideation, customer validation, business modelling, startup readiness and pitch preparation, before presenting their ventures to a panel of industry, finance and ecosystem professionals.

Based on the panel’s assessment, 30 startups have been selected for Cohort 3 and will receive incubation support, mentoring, training, registration and compliance assistance, and access to funding and market networks.

These images highlight the entrepreneurial spirit, innovative ideas and dedication of young founders as they take their ventures to the next stage.

Meet Farzana Ishfaq, a participant of the Startup Launchpad – Pre-Incubation Bootcamp, Cohort 3 at the Business Incubation Center (BIC), University of Peshawar.

On Final Pitch Day, Farzana presented her startup, “Fairy Second Stitch,” before a panel of professional judges. After three days of learning, refining and preparing her idea, she shared her experience and expressed her hope of being selected for the next stage of the program.

Day 1 of the Startup Launchpad – Pre-Incubation Bootcamp

The day began with Welcome & Cohort 3 Orientation, followed by insightful sessions on Entrepreneurial Mindset & Startup Readiness, Ideation & Opportunity Identification, and an Idea Development Clinic.

Participants explored what it takes to move beyond an idea, understand real problems and opportunities, assess their readiness as founders, and begin shaping their ideas into viable startup concepts.

The sessions were facilitated by Dr. Shakeel Khan Focal Person BIC UOP ,and Mr. Subhash Chandar , who guided participants through practical discussions, activities, and constructive feedback.

On 3–4 September 2026, BIC, University of Peshawar hosted a two-day training for the Directorate General of Commerce Education and Management Sciences, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — “From Classroom to Cohort: Establishing and Running a CEIC.”

Faculty from commerce colleges across KP explored the entrepreneurship ecosystem, incubation fundamentals, and cohort design — building the tools to launch their own incubation platforms.

Startup Launchpad – Pre-Incubation Bootcamp | BIC Cohort 3

What happens after you have an idea for a startup? You turn that idea into something worth building.

Startup Launchpad is a three-day pre-incubation bootcamp organized by the Business Incubation Center (BIC), University of Peshawar, for aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage startups being considered for BIC Cohort 3.

The bootcamp is designed to help participants refine their startup ideas, understand their customers, validate the problem, strengthen their business models, and prepare a compelling pitch. The first two days focus on startup readiness and preparation, while the third day features the Final Pitch, which will contribute to the final selection for BIC Cohort 3.
