INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY CELEBRATIONS
The three-day International Peace Day Celebrations commenced today at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar, organized by the Art & Culture Society in collaboration with the Debating Society, IMSciences.
The first day featured student speeches on the theme of Peace, providing students with an opportunity to express their thoughts and perspectives on the importance of peace, tolerance, harmony, and coexistence. Students also participated in a creative activity by coloring peace symbols, particularly doves, and displayed their artistic expressions.
On second day A Peace Comment Board was set up where students shared meaningful messages and ideas about peace. Candles were also lightened along with the portraits of different leaders who majorly promoted peace. The activities created an engaging and positive environment and encouraged students to reflect on the values of peace and peaceful coexistence.
On the third day a play was also performed by students of Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) on the topic of peace which had a very positive impact on the audience and everyone loved that as well. Overall this peace day celebration created a very positive and engaging environment with students and everyone actively participated and enjoyed the activities as well.

IMSciences Hosts Policy Debate on Good Governance and Economic Inclusion.

The Art & Culture Society, Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar, in collaboration with KPCVE and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Commission on the Status of Women, organized a policy debate on “Good Governance, Economic Inclusion and Accountable Institutions as Protective Factors.”

The session engaged students in meaningful discussions on transparency, accountability, equal opportunities, responsible citizenship, and the role of strong institutions in fostering peace, social cohesion, and resilient communities.

کے کے اے ڈبلیو ایف کی چیئرپرسن کا کے پی سی وی ای کا دورہ اور مفاہمتی خط پر دستخط
17 ستمبر 2026 کو کریم خان آفریدی ویلفیئر فاؤنڈیشن (کے کے اے ڈبلیو ایف) کی چیئرپرسن محترمہ کرسٹینا وان سپرلنگ آفریدی نے اپنی ٹیم کے ہمراہ حکومتِ خیبر پختونخوا کے مرکزِ امتیاز برائے انسدادِ پُرتشدد انتہاپسندی (کے پی سی وی ای) کا دورہ کیا۔
دورے کے دوران کے پی سی وی ای اور کے کے اے ڈبلیو ایف کے درمیان ادارہ جاتی تعاون کو مضبوط بنانے اور باہمی دلچسپی کے شعبوں کا جائزہ لینے پر تبادلۂ خیال کیا گیا۔ مستقبل میں تعاون کے لیے ایک فریم ورک قائم کرنے کی غرض سے مفاہمتی خط (ایل او آئی) پر دستخط کیے گئے، بالخصوص منشیات کے استعمال سے متعلق آگاہی اور روک تھام، سماجی ہم آہنگی، اور کھیلوں کے ذریعے نوجوانوں کی شمولیت کے شعبوں میں۔
دونوں اداروں نے مستقبل میں باہمی طور پر متفقہ دیگر شعبوں میں مشترکہ اقدامات اور پروگرامز کی تیاری پر بھی تبادلۂ خیال کیا۔ اس تعاون کا مقصد نوجوانوں میں صحت مند اور مثبت سرگرمیوں کو فروغ دینا، معاشرتی استقامت کو مضبوط بنانا، منشیات کے مضر اثرات کے بارے میں آگاہی پیدا کرنا، اور ایک پُرامن و سماجی طور پر ہم آہنگ معاشرے کے قیام میں کردار ادا کرنا ہے۔
یہ دورہ کے پی سی وی ای اور کے کے اے ڈبلیو ایف کے درمیان تعاون کو مضبوط بنانے اور خیبر پختونخوا بھر کے نوجوانوں اور معاشروں کے فائدے کے لیے پائیدار مشترکہ اقدامات کی ترقی کی جانب ایک اہم قدم ثابت ہو گا

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Centre of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism and University of Peshawar Explore Academic Collaboration on Criminology and CVE

A scholarly interaction was held between the Department of Criminology, University of Peshawar, and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Centre of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism (KPCVE) to explore areas of academic and institutional collaboration.

Mr. Kashif Irshad, Additional Director General KPCVE, along with Mr. Ikram Ullah Khan, Ms. Irum Naz, Principal Research Officer KPCVE, and Mr. Wahidullah Khan participated in the interaction.

The discussion covered key areas including the relationship between criminology and countering violent extremism (CVE), drivers of violent extremism, youth radicalization, drug abuse, prison rehabilitation, community resilience, and crime prevention.

Both sides emphasized strengthening collaboration through joint research, seminars, workshops, student internship programmes, exchange of research material, and field studies.

The interaction underscored the importance of connecting academic research with practical policymaking and promoting evidence-based approaches to preventing violent extremism and strengthening community resilience in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

KP International Job Fair- 2026
A significant milestone towards creating global career opportunities for the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Higher Education Department (HED), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and PAF-IST successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the organization of the International Job Fair on 15.09.2026
Mr. Meena Khan Afridi, Provincial Minister for Local Government & Higher Education, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The ceremony was attended by the Secretary Higher Education Department, Special Secretary Higher Education Department, senior officers of the Department and Directorate, Vice Chancellors of public and private sector universities, Principals of Government Colleges, and other distinguished guests.
The collaboration marks an important step towards connecting the talented youth and graduates of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with international employers and global career opportunities.
Through the International Job Fair, HED aims to bring international employment opportunities closer to our youth, strengthen linkages with global employers, and provide graduates with a platform to showcase their skills and potential on the international stage.

Rural Youth for Peace.

The University of Agriculture Swat organized an awareness and engagement program highlighting the role of rural youth in social inclusion, sustainable livelihoods, and resilience against harmful narratives.

The session emphasized youth empowerment, skills development, tolerance, critical thinking, and constructive community engagement for building peaceful and resilient communities.

محکمہ اعلیٰ تعلیم خیبرپختونخوا ڈیجیٹائزیشن کی جانب گامزن، ڈگری کالجز میں طلبہ کی ای حاضری کا نظام شروع کر دیا گیا۔

اب والدین گھر بیٹھے اپنے بچوں کی حاضری مانیٹر کر سکیں گے، جبکہ طلبہ کی غیر حاضری سے متعلق والدین کو ایس ایم ایس کے ذریعے آگاہ رکھا جائے گا۔

صوبائی وزیر اعلیٰ تعلیم و بلدیات مینا خان آفریدی نے گورنمنٹ ڈگری کالج پشاور میں سٹوڈنٹس ای اٹنڈنس سسٹم کا افتتاح کر دیا۔

تقریب میں زونگ ٹیلی کام کے نمائندگان، سیکرٹری اعلیٰ تعلیم، ڈائریکٹر اعلیٰ تعلیم، اساتذہ اور طلبہ نے شرکت کی۔

محکمہ اعلیٰ تعلیم خیبرپختونخوا اور زونگ ٹیلی کام کے درمیان مفاہمتی یادداشت پر دستخط بھی کیے گئے۔

صوبائی وزیر مینا خان آفریدی کا تقریب سے خطاب: طلبہ کی حاضری کا مکمل ریکارڈ والدین کے سامنے ہوگا کہ طالبعلم کس کلاس میں غیر حاضر رہا۔

محکمہ اعلیٰ تعلیم میں ای ٹرانسفر سسٹم متعارف کرا دیا گیا ہے، جبکہ صوبے میں جامعات کا رینکنگ نظام بھی لایا گیا ہے۔

دور دراز علاقوں میں خدمات انجام دینے والے اساتذہ کے لیے ہارڈ ایریا الاؤنس شروع کر رہے ہیں۔

صوبائی وزیر نے گورنمنٹ ڈگری کالج پشاور میں اسٹیٹ آف دی آرٹ ہال تعمیر کرنے کا بھی اعلان کیا۔
