Session on Banking Guidance
Today, representatives from the National Bank Mr.Shehryar and Mr.Noman from the Bank of Khyber visited Government Girls Degree College Dabgari, Peshawar. During their visit, the representatives first visited the respected Principal’s office. They were received by the respected Principal, Prof. Dr.Humera Shah, and productive interaction with her.
The purpose of the visit was to provide guidance to students and staff regarding banking services, particularly the procedure for opening accounts, including savings accounts. The representatives explained the required documents, eligibility criteria, and step-by-step process for account opening.
Mr.Noman, representing the Bank of Khyber, gave a detailed briefing on various banking facilities. He explained ATM services, which allow customers to withdraw cash, check balances, and carry out transactions conveniently. He also highlighted the importance and usage of checkbooks for secure financial dealings.
In addition, the representatives discussed other facilities such as online banking, secure transactions, and customer support services. They assured full cooperation in facilitating easy account opening and providing continuous banking assistance to students and staff.
Overall, the visit proved to be highly informative and productive. It enhanced financial awareness and encouraged students and staff to benefit from modern banking services, ensuring easier access to financial resources.
Important Notice
All the intermediate students are informed to Take their Roll Numbers and security on Saturday 2nd May 2026 from College. College will remain open on Saturday for the Roll number issuance.
Government Girls Degree College Dabgari, Peshawar, recently organized a vibrant and inspiring Art Exhibition that beautifully showcased the creativity and artistic talent of the students.
The exhibition was arranged under the supervision of Ms.Saba, Associate Professor of Home Economics, in collaboration with her dedicated students. A wide range of artistic displays were presented, including detailed stippling artwork, elegant calligraphy, mirror work, handmade crafts, and live block printing demonstrations. These exhibits reflected the students’ skill, dedication, and passion for art.
The event was honored by the presence of our honorable Principal, Prof.Dr.Humera Shah, who visited the exhibition and appreciated the outstanding efforts of the students. Adding further significance to the occasion, the Principal of Government College and Coordinator of JMC, Prof.Shafi Ullah, was invited as the Chief Guest. Both dignitaries admired the students’ work and encouraged them to continue exploring their creative potential. Their kind words served as a great source of motivation for the participants.

Students who have not received their scholarship should come soon as possible. Please bring along your 2nd Year DMC and a copy of your father’s CNIC at the time of collection.

A comprehensive and highly informative Public Awareness Session was successfully conducted on 14th April 2026 at Government Girls Degree College, Dabgari Peshawar. The session focused on “Mobilizing Young Women & Girls to Join Justice Sector Institutions” with the broader aim of improving gender parity and strengthening gender-responsive justice in Pakistan.
The session brought together distinguished speakers from various fields of the justice sector who shared their knowledge, experiences, and guidance with the students.
The program began with an introduction to the importance of women’s participation in the justice sector. Ms.Rabia Basri (Lawyer) delivered an insightful talk about the field of law. She explained in detail how students can pursue a career in law, the educational pathway required, and the skills needed to become a successful lawyer. Her guidance was particularly helpful for students interested in joining the legal profession.
Ms.Mubeen Munir (SHO Peshawar) also addressed the students and provided valuable information about joining the police department. She explained the recruitment process, eligibility criteria, and career growth opportunities within the police force.
Ms.Bushra Afridi (Social Activist) spoke about the importance of women’s involvement in the justice sector. She emphasized why females should actively participate in such fields and discussed serious issues such as harassment cases. She guided students on how to respond to such situations and the legal protections available for women.
Mr.Umar Fayaz (Lawyer) shared his perspective from an Islamic point of view. He highlighted the importance of justice, equality, and women’s rights in Islam. His speech was both enlightening and inspiring, encouraging students to understand their rights and responsibilities within a moral and religious framework.
The session was highly interactive. Students actively participated by asking various questions, and the panelists responded in a very detailed and effective manner, providing clear explanations along with practical examples.
Towards the end of the session, the respected Principal Prof.Dr.Humera Shah made a graceful and impactful entry.Worthy Principal delivered a powerful speech, appreciating the efforts of the organizers and encouraging students to aim high, work hard, and actively contribute to society, especially in the justice sector. Her motivating words left a lasting impression on the audience.
At the end of the session, a shield was presented to our worthy Principal, Prof.Dr. Humera Shah, as a token of appreciation.
On 9th April 2026, a traffic awareness session was conducted at Government Girls Degree College Dabgari, Peshawar by the City Traffic Police. The session was delivered by SP Rozia Altaf, focusing on promoting road safety among students. Informative banners and standees were displayed highlighting key traffic rules such as the use of seat belts, wearing helmets, following traffic signals, and avoiding dangerous practices like one-way violations, wrong road crossing, drowsy driving, and wrong-side overtaking. Video clips and visual examples were used to enhance understanding.
At the end, questions were asked from the students, and those who gave correct answers were awarded trophies. Students were also given the opportunity to wear traffic police jackets.

The mid-term examinations for BS Zoology (4th and 6th semesters) and BS Political Science (4th semester) commenced on 30th March 2026 and successfully concluded on 4th April 2026. The examinations were conducted in an organized and disciplined manner, ensuring a smooth process throughout.
The entire examination process was carried out under the supervision and guidance of the respected Principal, Prof.Dr.Humera Shah, whose leadership ensured transparency, fairness, and effective management of all examination arrangements.
The rain of spring didn’t just fall, it made the campus bloom. 💫🌷
