Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare

A significant turning point in an engineering student's life is the final year project. It aids in closing the knowledge gap between theory-based and skill-based learning and if it pertains to healthcare products, the importance increases even further. The AIH NCAI highlighted various comparable projects at the Electronics department of the University of Peshawar, such as vision, hearing, prosthetics, orthotics, digital stretchers, pulse oximeters, wheelchairs, digital stethoscopes, and blood pressure monitors, that students might design and fabricate in their FYPs. Momin Nadeem Awan, the team lead at AIH Lab NCAI, had a friendly and comfortable environment for these undergraduates to comprehend the significance of such projects.

Alumni appreciation! Kaleem Nawaz Yousafzai, former Team Lead at Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, worked at the lab for almost 18 months. Along with leading the team and managerial activities, his research focused on physiological signal processing and classification under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Salman Khan.
Kaleem is now serving as a Graduate Research Assistant and PhD Fellow (Computing and Information Sciences) at the Rochester Institute of Technology. His research focus is autonomous vehicles (Computer Vision). Kaleem has also served as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar (Mardan Campus) and Bahria University, Islamabad, Pakistan
Kaleem regards his work experience at the lab as a catalyst for upwards progression in his professional career. We wish him more success in future!
