In light of Higher Education Department’s KPI-based evaluation, best teachers’ appreciation ceremony was held at Govt. Islamia Graduate College (W),Lahore Cantt on 19th May 2026. Our worthy Principal, Dr. Farzana Kishwar, led the special meeting and presented bouquets to the selected best teachers of the College. Ma’am asked the respected members to express their views about receiving such accolades and the members highlighted how their morale was boosted due to the recognition of their performance by HED and they felt more motivated to work harder. They warmly thanked our esteemed Principal for selecting them as best teachers and putting trust in them to do new assignments. Our worthy Principal highlighted that owing to their personal and professional growth, trainings and extra effort put in by them they deserved getting these awards. A bouquet presentation ceremony took place at the end of the event and the awardees had pictures taken with the worthy Principal as well.

These distinguished teachers have consistently demonstrated commitment to quality education, student mentorship, discipline, research, and co-curricular engagement. Their enthusiasm, sincerity, and passion for teaching have not only uplifted the standards of the college but have also inspired students and colleagues alike.
The Principal and faculty members express profound gratitude to the Directorate, DPI Offices, Secretariat Higher Education Department, and especially the Honourable Education Minister, Rana Sikandar Hayat, for initiating and promoting such encouraging initiatives that acknowledge and celebrate the services of teachers. Such appreciation serves as a powerful motivation for educators to continue serving the nation with greater dedication, integrity, and excellence.

On May 14, 2026, the English Dramatics Club of Govt. Islamia Graduate College for Women, Lahore Cantt organized a vibrant English Drama and Character Gala under the supervision of Dr. Sobia Mubarak and her dramatics team. The event was graced by Principal Dr. Farzana Kishwar and Chief Guest Mian Imran Masood, Vice Chancellor of the University of South Asia, Lahore. The program featured engaging performances including Anton Chekhov’s *The Bear*, scenes from Shakespeare’s *Macbeth* and Jane Austen’s *Pride and Prejudice*, along with a poetic presentation inspired by Maulana Jalal-ud-Din Rumi’s message of hope. Students of BS English Semesters IV, VI, and VIII showcased remarkable dramatic talent, creating a captivating atmosphere. The Chief Guest and Principal highly appreciated the efforts of the students and faculty, emphasizing the importance of co-curricular activities in promoting confidence, creativity, and holistic development among students.
