Prof. Dr. Salman Bashir Successfully Completes Prestigious One-Month Certification in Governance and Leadership
Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad proudly announces that Prof. Dr. Salman Bashir, Dean, Faculty of Management & Business Administration (FMBA) and Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), has successfully completed a One-Month Certification Programme for Academic Leaders and University Management on Governance and Leadership.
This high-impact professional development programme was organized by Edinburgh Napier University, United Kingdom, in collaboration with senior academics and external experts from leading UK higher education institutions. The programme was designed to equip senior academic leaders from Pakistan with advanced knowledge, strategic tools, and global best practices to enhance governance and leadership in higher education.
The certification spanned four weeks and combined both virtual and in-person learning formats:
- Weeks 1–3 (5–23 May 2025): Interactive virtual sessions delivered via Microsoft Teams.
- Week 4 (26–30 May 2025): Intensive face-to-face sessions held in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Key thematic areas of the programme included:
- Strategic Academic Planning and Implementation
- Governance Models and Quality Assurance Practices
- Internationalisation and Digital Transformation in HEIs
- Change Management and Teaching Leadership
- Development of a Reflective Institutional Improvement Action Plan (RIIAP)
