وَقَالَ ٱلرَّسُولُ يَٰرَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى ٱتَّخَذُواْ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مَهْجُورًا (الفرقان -

The complaint of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for leaving the Qur'an

...On the Day of Resurrection, the true Messenger of Allah, Hazrat Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, will complain to his ummah in Mr. Bari, the Exalted, that these people were not inclined towards the Qur'an, nor did they listen to it willingly, but they used to prevent others from listening to it.
Grant us the ability to turn away from His displeasing deeds and incline to His pleasing deeds. May He give us understanding of His word and direct us to practice it day and night as He pleases.

It was narrated from Hazrat (Abdullah) bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The person in whose heart there is not even a part of the Holy Quran is like a deserted house.
This hadith has been narrated by Imam Tirmidhi, Darmi and Ahmad. Imam Tirmidhi said: This Hadith is Hassan Sahih. And Hakim has also called it Sahih al-Asnaad.
