Due to all the heed taken by recent Covid pandemic, there was lack of awareness and preventive measures for dengue spread. This neglect resulted in severe consequences where wards were overwhelming with patients and there also was shortage of resources in hospital settings. This situation could have been controlled by some timely decisions and preventive measures.

This is Dr. Anam Najam , the face of resilience, courage and bravery who has proved that limitations and disabilities exist only in mind. In 2008, while she was in her third year MBBS, a tragic accident happened, which left her quadriplegic. Her body was caged in a wheelchair but her mind was intact, and this was her ultimate strength. Despite being unable to hold a pen or turn the pages of books, she resumed her studies in a wheelchair, and now she is the the Pakistan's first and only quadriplegic psychiatrist , also she is the recipient of prestigious Chevening Scholarship for higher studies in the United Kingdom. She has represented Pakistan on many platforms, and in 2016 she got Empowered, Dignified and Prosperous Woman Achievement Award on Women's Day.

She is the Nation's proud and the source of inspiration for so many young people who are striving to become the best version of themselves.

Here is is her message for young people on International Youth Day.
