Students Participated in “Stay Safe” Training at The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir - UAJK. Female students from the Department of Mass Communication, University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir actively participated in a 3-day “Stay Safe” training workshop organized by ORIC in collaboration with the Pakistan Girl Guides Association at Chellah Campus.
The training focused on personal safety, online safety, emotional wellbeing, and substance abuse awareness, empowering students with essential life skills. Participants were awarded badges and scarves, while certificates will also be presented upon successful completion of the program.
Congratulations to all participants for becoming ambassadors of safety and wellbeing!

UAJK Mass Communication Students Complete Leadership Training at KIM

Students from the Department of Mass Communication, University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir actively participated in the two-day Youth Leadership workshop at the Kashmir Institute of Management.

The workshop featured engaging sessions on career development, leadership skills, entrepreneurship, and emerging opportunities. Industry experts guided participants on practical career paths and professional growth.

Certificates were distributed by Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir, Khushal Khan, recognizing the students’ participation and commitment.

Our students, Raja Usama Zain and Muneeb Abbasi, have taken an oath in the Digital & Social Media Journalists Association. Raja Usama Zain will serve as Vice President, while Muneeb Abbasi assumes the role of Additional General Secretary.

This achievement highlights the department’s focus on developing industry-ready graduates through a blend of academic rigor and practical exposure. We extend our congratulations to both students and wish them continued success in their professional media journey.

The Department of Mass Communication is proud to share that our students Syed Zulqarnain Haider and Momna Naz participated in a three-day training on “Capacity Building Training on Responsible Reporting on Immunization,” organized in collaboration with UNICEF at the National Institute of Banking and Finance, Islamabad.

The sessions were conducted by Barrister Mahreen Khan (MA Cantab, MPP Harvard) along with the expert EPI team, focusing on responsible health reporting and immunization awareness.

We congratulate our students on this valuable learning experience and professional achievement.

Students of the Department of Mass Communication were among the recipients of laptops distributed by the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) during the Laptop Distribution Ceremony.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister emphasised that youth are the future of the nation and key drivers of Pakistan’s progress.

The laptops were awarded purely on merit, reflecting the government’s commitment to promoting education, digital skills, and academic excellence.

Syed Saqlain Hussain Kazmi, a dedicated Mass Communication student, represented the University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and the spirit of Kashmir at the Uraan Pakistan Debate Competition 2025, organized by the Ministry of Planning & Development, Government of Pakistan, from 25–28 November.

Among 500+ talented students from leading universities across the country, Saqlain stood out with exceptional confidence, clarity, and critical thinking—earning the Most Notable Delegate Award, a truly remarkable milestone for him and the university.
