Multan Flying Club Team expresses deep condolences to Shaheen Air Flying Training School SAFTS, Faisalabad on the crash of Cessna 162 AP-ZBQ this morning. Capt Ahmed Hussain, CFI SAFTS and the trainee pilot both died in the crash. May their souls rest in peace. Ameen.

Most of the members of our page are looking for pre-requistes for applying in a flying club for pilot training. Well, here are the eligibility requirements :

First and foremost, security clearance from Special Branch and Intelligence Bureau for admission.

For Private Pilot's Licence (PPL)
1. Minimum 17 years of age
2. Minimum education O levels/Matriculation
3. Class II medical fitness from CAA
Training:
4. Approx training cost is 1.1 million PKR (11 lacs)
5. Duration of course is maximum 8 months with 40-60 flying hours

For Commercial Pilot's Licence (CPL)
1. Minimum 18 years of age
2. Minimum education A levels/F.A./F.Sc./ICS
3. Class I medical fitness from CAA
Training:
4. Approx training cost is 3.7 million PKR (37 lacs)
5. Duration of course is maximum 18 months with 150 flying hours and for Instrument Rating 40 hours which makes an accumulative total of 190 flying hours.
