An Awareness Session regarding Blasphemy (Youm-e-Tahaffuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat ﷺ) was held at Nishtar Medical University, Multan.

The session was attended by Prof. Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani, Vice Chancellor NMU, Dr. Rao Amjad (MS Nishtar Hospital), Prof. Dr. Ahmer (Registrar NMU), Ms. Qamar-un-Nisa (Principal College of Nursing), Dr. Imran, and faculty members.

The speakers highlighted the importance of respect, awareness, and responsibility regarding the sanctity of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, emphasizing the role of educational institutions in promoting ethical values and social harmony.

Prof. Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani Sahiba, Vice Chancellor, Nishtar Medical University (NMU), chaired a meeting regarding the management and scheduling of lectures for Medical and Allied Health students, emphasizing effective academic coordination and quality education.

Later, she visited Ward 16 and the Labor Room at Nishtar Hospital to review patient care facilities and healthcare services, appreciating the efforts of doctors and medical staff in providing quality treatment.

The meeting focused on resolving operational matters and ensuring the uninterrupted availability of MRI services for patients, emphasizing the importance of timely diagnostic facilities in improving healthcare services.

Prof. Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani Sahiba, Vice Chancellor, Nishtar Medical University (NMU), visited the Nishtar Medical University Administration Offices to review administrative arrangements and operational matters.

During the visit, she interacted with the staff and emphasized improving efficiency and coordination in administrative processes to support academic and institutional development.

The meeting focused on strengthening coordination, enhancing clinical standards, and ensuring efficient healthcare services.

Secretary Health Punjab, Mr. Azmat Mehmood, chaired the PGAC meeting on Zoom, which was attended by Prof. Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani, Vice Chancellor, Nishtar Medical University (NMU). The meeting focused on matters related to postgraduate medical education and training.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani extended heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Dr. Samreen Mushtaq on her well-deserved selection as Regular Professor of Radiology. This achievement reflects her professional excellence and dedication to the field.

Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani, Vice Chancellor, Nishtar Medical University (NMU), Nishtar Medical University & Nishtar Hospital Multan acknowledge with sincere appreciation the generous donation of surgical items for the ENT Department by Dr. Abrar Ahmad (N-29).

Such contributions play an important role in strengthening healthcare facilities and improving patient care services. The administration extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Abrar Ahmad for his valuable support and commitment towards the welfare of patients.

📢 PMDC Inspection Visit at Nishtar Medical University

The PMDC inspection team visited Nishtar Medical University, Multan, following the continuous efforts and persuasion of Prof. Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani, Vice Chancellor NMU. The team evaluated 32 programs, including FCPS, MD, MS, MCPS, Diploma, and MPhil, for approval and accreditation.

During the visit, the inspection team was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani (Vice Chancellor NMU), Prof. Dr. Syed Ahmer Hussain (Registrar NMU), and heads of the relevant departments. The team appreciated the arrangements, preparations, infrastructure, academic environment, and faculty.

The successful organization of the visit was made possible through the collective efforts of all departments, particularly the Registrar Office and the PMDC visit preparation team led by Prof. Dr. Zahra Nazish.

It is worth mentioning that 52 programs of NMU, including FCPS, MD, MS, MCPS, Diploma, and MPhil, are already accredited by PMDC.

During the visit, she assessed facilities, inspected teaching and laboratory arrangements, and emphasized the importance of maintaining high academic standards and an efficient working environment. The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of faculty and staff and reiterated the university’s commitment to quality education and institutional development.
