🌾 What an incredible way to start 2024! Spent the first day at MNS-University of Agriculture Multan Pakistan, exploring the remarkable Jalalpur Pirwala Research Farm. This place exemplifies the transformation of knowledge into practical solutions.

🌱 Witnessed the impressive shift from 500 acres of once salt-affected land, now blossoming into fertile ground. Last year, yielding 10,000 M/acre of wheat from these reclaimed lands is truly inspiring!

🎓 Engaged with brilliant students on an insightful tour, identifying new areas for research and aiming to convert saline lands into fertile ones by different strategies.

🌍 Shared knowledge on soil sampling techniques using various mobile apps and initiated a plantation drive of Australian Kicker, contributing to environmental sustainability.

💧 Explored water containment strategies, reinforcing the commitment to sustainable agricultural practices. Cheers to a year dedicated to transformative research and practical implementation!

Visited Jalal pur pir wala for wheat and Barely trials sample collection on the saline soils of Jalal Pur .
Atriplex shows vigorous growth on highly saline soils on the Research Farm of MNSUAM. It is very useful in land cover and animal feed. You can clearly see the difference between covered land and uncovered road along the field. We can clearly see Salt Acculturation .

Students of the BSc Environmental Sciences virtually met with Mr. Ahmad Rafay Alam (Yale World Fellow); a leading Environmental Lawyer and activist. This interactive sessions had deliberations on environmental law and its implementation in Pakistan, where students discussed and proposed different approaches to regaining the environmental legacy of Pakistan.

Introducing Vertical Farming in Jalal Pura Pir Wala Saline Soils, both with and without mulch. Growing summer vegetables vertically has many benefits. It saves space and allows you to grow more food in less space. It also makes watering, pruning and fertilizing easier and keeps crops off the ground decreasing the chance of diseases. Additionally, it's easier to see the vegetables to harvest them and more light gets to the plant when growing upright.

Internship students placement at different organizations and follow up visits for their effective induction in fruitful projects

Visit of Soil and Environmental Sciences Students of University of Agriculture Multan in Soil and Water Testing Laboratory for Research Multan on 01.03.2023. Under the supervision of respected Teachers .

Conducting Soil Salinity and Brackish Water Management and Treatment Trails on Shahzoaib Gardezi Farm for Screening of 3 different varieties of Chillies.
Water will be treated with Gypsum and H2SO4.
Mulching will be used as Management Practice on Saline Field.

Site Selection for Salinity Trials somewhere near Multan (Basti Labar) .
