Students from Saidu Medical College conducted an emergency health response awareness session in department of sociology for the students of Jahanzeb College Swat to educate them to respond emergencies such as burns, acid burns, electric shocks, epilepsy, CPR, and bleeding, in order to mitigate risks and save lives.

It is noticeable that our second semester students are particularly active and vibrant in the social sector. Another example is Mr. Waqas, who participated in the Youth Peace and Leadership Summit and received an appreciation certificate and award from the HAWK Youth Vision Foundation at Wadudia Hall, Saidu Sharif, Swat.
We are thankful to the HAWK Youth Vision Foundation for providing such a great platform for emerging youth talent , a space where young people share their start-ups, initiatives, career journeys, success stories, missions, experiences, and skills for growth. The activities in the hall were rich with learning, especially the keynote address, trainersβ sessions, panel discussions, and cultural exchange.

Mr. Muhammad Jalal, second semester sociology student, received his certificate and award from the HAWK Youth Vision Foundation at the Youth Peace and Leadership Summit at Wadudia Hall, Saidu Sharif, Swat.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. A healthy society emerges when all three aspects are given due attention.
Mr. Sangeen Bacha, Lecturer in Sociology, shared his views on emergency healthcare response and emphasized its importance for both students and the general public. He further added that healthcare is our collective responsibility, and a timely, accurate response by the public during emergencies can help mitigate risks and save lives.

On 17th of June, Mr. Irfanullah, student of BS Sociology Semester-II, was awarded today at the Youth Peace and Leadership Summit held at Wadudia Hall, Swat, by the HAWK YOUTH VISION FOUNDATION for participation in the event.
On 16 June 2026, the Department of Sociology at Jahanzeb College Swat held an Emergency Skills Camp with Wadee Ah (The SAFEKEEPERS) from Saidu Medical College.
Eight training stations were set up where medical students taught life-saving skills for bleeding, CPR, burns, acid attacks, heat stroke, choking, epilepsy, and electric shock.
Participants learned practical steps like applying pressure to wounds, doing chest compressions, cooling burns, flushing acid with water, and ensuring safety during seizures or shocks.
Students and faculty from different departments joined with great interest and practiced these emergency responses hands on.
The camp successfully raised awareness and equipped attendees with basic skills to save lives during critical situations.
