Celebrating the Vision of Quaid-e-Azam – Faith, Unity, Discipline
The Department of Education at the University of Mianwali successfully hosted an inspiring event titled "Celebrating the Vision of Quaid-e-Azam: Faith, Unity, Discipline" to commemorate the enduring legacy of Pakistan's founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The program aimed to highlight his principles and their relevance in contemporary society, fostering a sense of national pride and motivation among participants.
The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Nadeem Sheikh, Vice Chancellor of the University of Mianwali, whose presence added prestige and encouragement to the proceedings. Accompanying him was Dr. Rana Abdul Majid Khan, Registrar of the University of Mianwali, who contributed to the event's smooth ex*****on and shared insightful remarks on the importance of Quaid-e-Azam's vision in educational institutions.
The program featured thought-provoking speeches from distinguished faculty members:
• Opening and Welcome The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem. The Head of the Department of Education welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the timeless motto of Faith, Unity, and Discipline as the cornerstone of national progress.
• Dr-Khurram Shahzad Munawar, Head of the Department of Chemistry, served as the guest speaker and delivered a compelling address on Quaid-e-Azam's character. He eloquently linked it to themes of women's empowerment, drawing parallels with the remarkable struggles and contributions of Fatima Jinnah, Quaid-e-Azam's sister, in Pakistan's independence movement. His speech emphasized how these values continue to inspire gender equality and societal progress.
• Dr. Nasir Mehmood, Head of the English Department, shared profound sayings and reflections on the intersection of Islam and Quaid-e-Azam's ideology. He highlighted how Quaid-e-Azam's faith-based principles aligned with Islamic teachings on unity and discipline, urging the audience to embody these in their daily lives.
• Dr. Naila Abdul Karim, Head of the Education Department, presented an engaging speech on the fortunes of states through individual prowess. She elaborated on the idea that "each man has one star of their ascendant (Destiny)," underscoring how personal discipline and unity can shape national destinies, much like Quaid-e-Azam's leadership did for Pakistan.
The highlight of the event was the enthusiastic participation from students of the Education Department. They delivered excellent performances, including stirring national songs that evoked patriotism and well-researched speeches on Quaid-e-Azam's life and principles. Their contributions not only added vibrancy to the program but also demonstrated the department's commitment to nurturing future leaders.
