Some basic rules for using spaces:

^~ Spaces after punctuation: Use a single space after punctuation marks like periods, commas, semicolons, colons, and exclamation points. For example, "She went to the store, bought some groceries, and returned."

^~ Spaces around em dashes: When using an em dash (—), place a space before and after it. For example, "The team—comprised of experts—achieved remarkable results."

^~ Spaces around en dashes: When using an en dash (–) to indicate a range, place a space before and after it. For example, "Pages 10 – 20 contain the relevant information."

^~ Spaces in front of opening quotation marks: Use a space before an opening quotation mark. For example, "He said, 'Hello.'"

^~ No spaces with apostrophes: Do not use spaces with apostrophes when indicating possession or contractions. For example, "John's car" and "it's raining."

^~ Spaces after a period at the end of a sentence: Use a single space after a period at the end of a sentence. This is often referred to as "single spacing."

Several key points that I'd like to share for the benefit of all members:

1. Be cautious about relying solely on apps; take tests knowing your weaknesses and work on improving them.
2. Instead of just taking mock tests, focus on preparing each question type thoroughly.
3. Don't rush into purchasing official mocks; first develop your skills and then consider buying and practicing them.
4. Aim to achieve scores near or exceeding the target score in mocks before deciding to take the real exam.
5. A significant portion of students struggled with the following areas:
- Reading and writing blanks
- Retell lecture
- Summarize spoken text
- Reorder paragraphs
- Essay writing
- Surprisingly, even Summarize written text
6. Recognize that AI has advanced, and the PTE exam is becoming more challenging, especially for those aiming for scores of 70+ or 79+. Adequate preparation is crucial.
7. Unfortunately, many individuals who have taken the test 4-5 times are still attempting it without identifying their weak areas and addressing them. This approach can hinder their chances of achieving their desired scores. Your time and money are valuable resources, so make sure to invest them wisely.

When embarking on the journey of preparing for the PTE exam, there are three crucial elements that every aspirant should bear in mind.

✓Firstly, your language background plays a significant role. Assess your existing proficiency in English and identify areas that require improvement. Tailoring your preparation according to your language foundation can help you bridge any gaps effectively.
