Abstract:
This article examines Kamila Shamsie's 2000 book Salt and Saffron to investigate the concepts of "filiation" and "affiliation" in relation to migrant society. The individuals in the narrative acquire knowledge of local beliefs, languages, and customs from their parents and other family members, hailing from other nationalities. We designate this cultural phenomenon as "filiation." They adhere to the regulations of the extraterrestrial nations upon their settlement and subsequent visibility. Altering their social environments demonstrates the complexity of their identities and significantly influences their beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. As "affiliation" transitions to "filiation," scholars are investigating the evolution of relationships within a diaspora context and the impact on traditional norms, behaviors, and notions rooted in familial histories. The tale chronicles the Dard-e-Dil family's experiences and the evolution of their "filiated" views and ideals via interactions with persons from many backgrounds. These themes derive from the distinguished postcolonialist Edward Said. Specifically, they stem from his notions of "filege" and "affinity." These principles facilitate an analysis of the story in Salt and Saffron (2000).

Abstract:
This study looks into the fascinating field of history philosophy, revisiting its core ideas and illuminating the complex dynamics of historical judgment. This research aims to investigate the philosophical foundations that guide how we understand and interpret past occurrences while appreciating the massive impact that experience has had on the cultures of humans and the critical role history plays in forming our view of the world. In the opening section of the essay, I look at the character of archaeological information, discuss the difficulties in discovering and understanding the past, and consider both the objective and subjective aspects of stories about history. It examines numerous theological stances, including positivism, which promotes historic preservation, and methodology, which affects the methodology employed in executing investigations into history and determines the realm of ancient philosophy. The function of historiography, the writing and interpretation of history in forming our collective memory and understanding of the past, is another topic covered in this study article. By examining how prejudice, perspective, and cultural context affect historical records, it draws attention to the intricate interplay between objective facts and arbitrary interpretation. The essay also analyses how postmodern and postcolonial critiques affect conventional historical accounts, highlighting the need for a more inclusive and varied understanding of history.

Abstract:
This study examines the narratives of the Afghan Taliban through their poetry, contrasting the dominant Western portrayal of the group as violent extremists with their own self-representation(Johnson, 2013). Using postcolonial theory, the research explores themes of Watanwali (nationalism) as reflected in Taliban poetry, emphasizing its role in expressing Afghan culture, social norms, and identity. The analysis highlights the Taliban's use of poetry to convey grief, pride, and a profound connection to Afghan traditions and land. Incorporating elements of Afghan language, religion, and tribal codes, the poetry employs metaphors and symbols to articulate nationalism and serve as a form of resistance against foreign occupation. By inspiring Afghan youth to confront invaders, poetry functions as both a cultural artifact and a rhetorical tool. Textual analysis of pre-and post-9/11 poetry translations underscores its emotional depth and cultural significance (Mackee, 2003). The study concludes that Taliban poetry is not mere propaganda but a vital expression of Afghan identity and resistance, deserving critical scholarly attention.

Abstract:
As a mover and shaker man of letters, the French short story writer Guy de Maupassant penned hundreds of groundbreaking stories, yet sundry of them are still eclipsed owing to the rarity of reviews. Two Friends (1882), one of his eloquent works, is a pertinent case worth reading and analyzing. As a corollary, this article comes to terms with Two Friends to uncover the story’s narrative structure, point of view, setting dimensions, historical context, style, and symbolism to cognize readers about the significance of this piece of work that comes to grips with two dialectical phenomena which are peace and brutality. This juxtapositional datum in human nature echoes how realistic literature in the 19th century represented societies by shedding light on divergent issues in Two Friends and conversing about the impulse that thrusts Guy de Maupassant to tell about the faith of two commoners living in Paris. This investigation indulges realism in Maupassant’s work through the projection of commoner characters entangled with the dire reality of armed conflicts. Besides, naturalism discloses the reasonable forces of the environment and innate heredity that navigate the characters' actions. This will inform us about how war sometimes has the repercussions of foolish decisions or human greed, out of which innocent human beings are the overt victims who pay a heavy price.

Abstract:
This research examines the elaborate association between FI, CO2 emissions, and the moderating role of technological innovation across 83 countries. The study, which includes the years 2003 to 2022, uses data from the WDI to investigate the dynamics and consequences of these interrelated factors. The major goal is to determine the influence of FI on CO2 emissions, taking into consideration the moderating role of technical progress. Through principal component analysis, the study seeks to understand the underlying mechanisms driving these associations by employing various statistical approaches such as correlation analysis and Driscoll-Kraay standard errors. Initial data show a significant link between FI and CO2 emissions, but the degree of the association varies by nation. Furthermore, technological innovation has been shown to have a significant moderating effect, increasing the effect of FI on CO2 emissions. Based on these findings, the research suggests policies that make use of the associations between FI and technological innovation in order to promote sustainable development. Overall, this study advances our consideration of the complex relationship between FI, CO2 emissions, and technological innovation, providing significant insights for policymakers and stakeholders working for environmental sustainability and economic inclusiveness.

Abstract:
The objectives of the study were to analyze the perspective of parents about their involvement in the academic learning of their children studying at the primary school level. A quantitative research design was used to conduct this study. A descriptive survey method was used to collect the data. The population of the study was parents of the students of government primary schools of tehsil Rajanpur. It included male and female primary schools in rural and urban areas in this tehsil. Disproportionate stratified random sampling technique was used to select 648 parents of primary school children. Self-developed research instrument, i.e., a five-point scale, was used for data collection. The data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The study found that parents were highly involved in parenting and home-based learning activities. However, their involvement in the community-related activities and decision-making was relatively low. It is suggested that parents participate in classroom, school, and co-curricular activities. Training sessions may be conducted for teachers and parents on various ways of collaboration in the educational settings in order to better understand and improve the student's learning progress.

Abstract:
The maritime economy is an important contributor to the economies of the countries. Pakistan, with more than 1000 km of coast, has a huge repository of sea resources and is located on a very important trade route. Its geo-sectoral location provides easy and short sea access to China, Afghanistan, and the Central Asian Republics. However, the continuous neglect of the maritime sector has resulted in the depletion of the sector, which was once thriving at a rapid pace. The lack of awareness of the maritime economy, depleting infrastructure, untrained human resources, and lack of effective policies are the contributing factors that have prevented the full potential of this sector from being exploited so far. The development of ports, the shipping industry, fisheries, and coastal tourism are the areas that can significantly contribute to the GDP of the country and provide livelihood to people. There is a dire need for the government to pay full attention to this sector and start investing in this ignored area for its revival, ultimately enabling it to contribute significantly to the economic development of the country.
