CIMMYT country head, Prof. Dr. Sajid Ali visited Hazara University and the Department of Agriculture to interact with faculty, students and the Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ikram Ullah. He discussed various scientific scenarios with faculty students and his lab team under his leadership.

CIMMYT-Pak, under the Lead of Dr. Sajid Ali, CCR hosted the mid-term progress meeting in relation to GWP- HiZn Project. All subgrant partners, including Dr. Monsif and his team from Hazara University participated and shared the progress. Dr. Sajid Ali briefed the partners on project activities and the way forward. On behalf of the Department of Agriculture, Faculty of Biological and Health Sciences, Hazara University Mansehra, Chief Organizer Dr. Monsif ur Rehman expressed heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to the Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan, the faculty members, administration, and all contributors for the successful organization of the Two-Day International Conference on “Biofortification of Field Crops and Nutritional Security” held on October 7–8, 2025.
The conference brought together distinguished scientists and experts to deliberate on achieving nutritional security through biofortification, fostering meaningful discussions, innovative research presentations, and collaborations in the field of sustainable agriculture.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Monsif ur Rehman emphasized that it was an honor to host such an insightful and inspiring event that highlighted the role of science, technology, and teamwork in building a healthier and food-secure world. He extended sincere thanks to the Vice Chancellor, keynote and invited speakers, organizing committee, administrative staff, and participants for their dedication and active engagement.
