چکدرہ: ڈاکٹر عتبار خان نے کہا ہے کہ طلبہ رٹنے کے بجائے سمجھ، اطلاق، تجزیے اور تنقیدی سوچ کے ذریعے سیکھنے پر توجہ دیں۔ گورنمنٹ ہائر سیکنڈری اسکول راموڑہ، لوئر دیر میں جماعت نہم و دہم کے طلبہ اور اساتذہ سے تعاملی نشست کے دوران انہوں نے ایس ایل اوز پر مبنی تعلیم و تشخیص کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے کہا کہ طلبہ کو امتحان کے خوف کے بجائے مطلوبہ تعلیمی نتائج کے حصول پر توجہ دینی چاہیے۔ انہوں نے زبان کی فہم، سوالات میں استعمال ہونے والے ہدایتی الفاظ، گروپ ورک، ماڈل پیپرز اور اساتذہ سے تعمیری فیڈبیک کو مؤثر سیکھنے کے لیے اہم قرار دیا۔ ڈاکٹر عتبار خان نے کہا کہ ایس ایل اوز نظام کی کامیابی کے لیے طلبہ، اساتذہ، والدین اور تعلیمی اداروں کو مشترکہ طور پر کردار ادا کرنا ہوگا۔

Seminar on "Understanding Problematic Smartphone Use & It's Impact on Mind, Relations and Daily Life" organized by Department of Education, University of Malakand.

The Guest Speaker was Mr Sami ul Haq, PhD Scholar, University of Padova, Italy. He highlighted that while smartphones are essential tools for learning & connectivity, mindful and balanced use is critical. Besides, he added that excessive and uncontrolled use of smartphones is increasingly linked to mental health challenges, strained interpersonal relations & disruption in academic and daily routines.

The Chairperson, Department of Education, Dr Itbar Khan & Dr Muhammad Faisal, Incharge, Department of Cyber Security also graced the event & discussed intervention models such as digital detox, mindfulness and screen time management.

The event concluded with Q & A Session; focused on managing social media addiction, balancing online learning with screen time & role of educational institutions in promoting digital literacy.

They stressed that universities must become living labs for sustainability, where policy, research, digital learning tools and community engagement intersect to create measurable impact.

یونیورسٹی آف ملاکنڈ کے شعبہ تعلیم اور فیکلٹی آف آرٹس اینڈ ہیومینیٹیز کے زیر اہتمام “ٹرانسفارمنگ ہائر ایجوکیشن اِن پاکستان” کے عنوان سے منعقدہ دو روزہ دوسری بین الاقوامی کانفرنس (2nd ICTHEP 2026) کامیابی کے ساتھ اختتام پذیر ہوگئی۔ “ایجوکیشن فار سسٹین ایبلٹی” کے موضوع پر منعقدہ اس کانفرنس میں ملک بھر کی 25 جامعات سے تعلق رکھنے والے سکالرز، اساتذہ، طلبہ اور 10 بین الاقوامی مقررین نے شرکت کی جبکہ اختتامی تقریب یونیورسٹی کے کانووکیشن ہال میں منعقد ہوئی۔

تقریب کے مہمانانِ خصوصی میں وائس چانسلر پروف ڈاکٹر راشد احمد، سابق وائس چانسلر پروف ڈاکٹر محمد رسول جان، ڈاکٹر محمد امجد ثاقب، پروف ڈاکٹر قیصر خان، ڈاکٹر اعتبار خان، چیئرمین شعبہ تعلیم، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر افتخار احمد، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر طارق خان، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد ایاز خان اور سابق وفاقی سیکرٹری ڈاکٹر عطا الرحمٰن سمیت مختلف جامعات کے اساتذہ اور سکالرز شریک ہوئے۔ مقررین نے اعلیٰ تعلیم کے معیار میں بہتری، تعلیمی چیلنجز اور پائیدار ترقی کے فروغ میں اساتذہ اور پالیسی سازوں کے کردار پر تفصیلی گفتگو کی۔
