Very shocking story
He was a young medical student, full of dreams, dedication, and light. Studying MBBS at Bilawal Medical College, at LUMHS Jamshoro, Hyderabad. He had worked hard and excelled, passing his first, second, and third years with determination. Now in his fourth year, he was preparing to step into his future , a future that, sadly, never came.

He wasn’t just brilliant in studies; he was a soul of faith and kindness. Always smiling, always praying, always helping others , a person whose presence brought calm and positivity wherever he went. His friends admired him, his teachers respected him, and everyone who knew him saw him as an example of discipline, devotion, and hope.

But today, the halls of his hostel echo with silence. The news of his death has shattered hearts. His body was found in his room, struck by bullets — a moment that ended a life so full of promise. It’s impossible to understand how someone so good, so faithful, so full of life could face such darkness.

May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannat, and give patience and strength to his family and friends. A bright light of LUMHS has gone too soon — but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. 💔🤲

👁 Surgeons have successfully removed a spinal tumor through a patient's eye socket in a groundbreaking, world-first procedure.

This remarkable approach was instrumental in saving the life of a young woman.

In an unprecedented surgical achievement, medical professionals at the University of Maryland Medical Center successfully extracted a spinal tumor via the patient's eye socket—a method never previously employed for spinal access.

The patient, 19-year-old Karla Flores, was afflicted with a rare and aggressive chordoma tumor enveloping her cervical spine and exerting pressure on her spinal cord.

Conventional surgical techniques entailed significant risks of damaging essential nerves and blood vessels. Instead, neurosurgeon Dr. Mohamed A.M. Labib and his multidisciplinary team devised an innovative "transorbital" method, establishing a surgical pathway through the eye socket to reach the spine without causing external scarring or harm to vital structures.

This pioneering approach preserved crucial neurological functions and facilitated complete tumor removal, followed by proton radiation and spinal fusion surgery. The transorbital technique—previously employed for brain tumors—was refined through extensive research utilizing cadavers. It signifies a significant advancement in minimally invasive neurosurgery and exemplifies the power of anatomical precision, technology, and collaboration. Flores, now 20, is cancer-free and recuperating well, a testament to the team's determination to transcend conventional boundaries in pursuit of optimal outcomes.
