Experiment day @ The Ascenders Academy Larkana was completed today with Butane gas C4H10 that is an alkane, Butane is a gas at room temperature and atmospheric pressure and it's lighter than air.
Students were explained that soap helps with the creation of bubbles and by adding Butane from a high pressure source into the soapy water lots of bubbles will form but they will be filled with Butane instead of air. The heat from the flame and the flame itself will help break surface tension which will make the Butane bubbles pop, releasing the Butane which will burn when it will come in contact with the flame. The person doing the experiment won't get his hand burnt because there is little Butane and it will burn really fast not having enough time to do damage.

Students namely:
Amna Detho, Tanzeela Chandio, Israr Mangi, Shehbaz Shahani & Uzair Soomro were awarded with the title of "Student of the week" due to their best performance in class from Monday 29th December 2025 to Saturday 3rd January 2026.
