The Global Virtual School Initiative is a government-supported program designed specifically for government schools to strengthen access to quality education through technology-enabled virtual classrooms. The initiative aims to bridge resource gaps, support digital transformation, and improve learning opportunities for students from Grades 6–12.

📚 Program Highlights

🏫 Eligible Government Schools should have:

Building on its foundational objectives, the Elementary and Secondary Education Foundation, under the leadership of Mr Qaisar Alam, has initiated several ambitious projects in 2026 to address the challenge of out-of-school children. Notably, the Green Enrolment Campaign, launched in February 2026, aims to enroll approximately 2.6 million children, with a particular focus on promoting girls’ education through community engagement, alongside a province-wide tree plantation initiative. In addition, the provincial government has approved the establishment of an AI Education Authority and a public-sector virtual school system in April 2026, designed to extend educational access to remote and underserved areas. This system incorporates AI-assisted teaching available 24/7 in Urdu, English, and Pashto, thereby facilitating inclusive and continuous learning opportunities. These initiatives underscore a strategic shift toward integrating digital innovation and community-based approaches to bridge educational gaps in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
