📘 Definition of Fraction
A fraction is a number that represents a part of a whole.
It has two parts:
Numerator → the top number (shows how many parts we have)
Denominator → the bottom number (shows total equal parts)
👉 Example:
Here,
3 is the numerator
4 is the denominator
It means 3 parts out of 4 equal parts.
📚 Types of Fractions
1️⃣ Proper Fraction
When the numerator is smaller than the denominator.
Example:
2️⃣ Improper Fraction
When the numerator is greater than or equal to the denominator.
Example:
3️⃣ Mixed Fraction
A combination of a whole number and a proper fraction.
Example:
4️⃣ Unit Fraction
A fraction where the numerator is 1.

Different fractions that show the same value.
