2025 WMI Finals Will Shine in Bangkok.
Uniting young minds from around the world through the language of mathematics. 🎉🎉
Despite the many challenges faced during the registration period—including earthquakes, the regional conflict between the U.S., Israel and Iran, and rising tensions along the Thai-Cambodian border—the 2025 WMI Final Round will be successfully held as scheduled in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. Delegations from 23 member countries will stand united, once again proving that a shared passion for mathematics can rise above adversity.
Unfortunately, due to these circumstances, the student representatives from Iran and Cambodia were unable to attend in the end. Their absence was deeply felt by the entire WMI community. We send our heartfelt encouragement to these students, who prepared with dedication and spirit, and we look forward next year when we can welcome them on the international stage they so rightly deserve.
This year, we were especially honored to welcome team Canada and team Bangladesh to the WMI family for the very first time, while team Myanmar and Nigeria made a heartfelt return. In a world often marked by division, WMI continues to build bridges—connecting cultures through the universal language of mathematics.
To every student, teacher, and parent who overcame the odds to be here: thank you. Your courage, perseverance, and unwavering belief in the power of education have made this gathering truly extraordinary.
In recognition of those who have contributed tirelessly to WMI’s growth over the years, the organizing committee introduced a new “Legacy Award” this year. We are also proud to present, for the first time, exclusive trophies to the top three winners in each grade level—a tribute not only to excellence, but to resilience, passion, and the dreams made real through determination.
No matter how uncertain the world may be, we hold this truth close: mathematics connects us all, and dreams shine brightest when pursued with heart and hope. 🥰🥰
