The talented Ravian Orators, Ms. Sehrish Fatima was declared the Best Urdu Speaker in the serious category and Ms. Aima Rashid got the Third Position in the English humorous category at the 5th All Pakistan Begum Ra'ana Liaqat Ali Khan Bilingual Declamation Contest hosted by the Army Burn Hall College, Abbottabad.
Team GCU was awarded the Runners up trophy 🏆.

The debaters from the Debating Society of GC University Lahore, Zarbakht Arif and Fatima Shahid, secured the Runner-up position at the Shanawar All Pakistan Women Parliamentary Debating Competition 2025. The event was hosted by Fatima Jinnah Medical University, and the team competed in the Urdu Open category.

GCU play highlights ignorance, silence surrounding cancer patients
A cancer awareness seminar for female students was held at Government College University Lahore, where speakers discussed the psychological and emotional challenges faced by breast cancer patients.
The daylong seminar, organised by the GCU Disease Awareness and Prevention Society, featured a student play titled “Empty Chair”, which symbolically presented the consequences of ignorance and silence surrounding breast cancer and urged the audience to recognise the importance of awareness, empathy, and early medical intervention.

Our debaters participated in Nukta-e-Sanjan 25, hosted by MNS Agriculture University, Multan. Mr. Abdullah Khan won the Best Speaker Award in the Urdu Humorous Category. Ms. Maheen Amir was declared the Second Best Speaker in the English Serious Category, while Mr. Nalain Abbas secured the Runner-up Trophy in the Punjabi Serious Category.

Study Trip: National History Museum, Lahore
GCU Dr. Leitner Society for History, with Intermediate Counselling Services, led Intermediate History students to Pakistan’s first digital museum to connect coursework with interactive exhibits on Pakistan’s political, social, and cultural evolution.
Accompanied by: Mr Hamza M***i (Advisor, DLSH), Ms Seemab Shafiq (In-charge, ICS), and Ms Noreen Hashim (Senior Faculty, Department of Intermediate Studies).
The visit advanced critical inquiry and reflective learning, aligning with GCU Lahore’s focus on experiential pedagogy.

Delighted to share that Mr. Khushnood Akhtar and Mr. Muhammad Ahsan represented Government College University, Lahore, at "Q’Fest 2025", a literary festival hosted by the Quaid -e- Azam University, Islamabad, and secured 1st Position in the Bait Bazi Competition.

The Debating Society and Young Speakers' Union of GC University Lahore won the All-Pakistan Trilingual Declamation Contest hosted by the Shanawar Debating Society of Fatima Jinnah Medical University.
Ms. Sana Khan won the Best English Speaker Award in the serious category. Mr. Abdullah Shahzada was declared runners up for his Urdu humourous speech.
In the Under - 19 category, Mr. Adam Izhar Khan won the Best English Speaker Award. Mr. Ghulam Mustafa was declared the Best Urdu Humourous Speaker. Mr. Ali Zain Bodla won the Best Punjabi Speaker prize.

Rebuilding Gaza’s universities a collective responsibility of global academia: GCU VC
A high-level delegation of vice chancellors and senior representatives from leading universities of Gaza–Palestine visited Government College University Lahore today as part of their week-long tour to Pakistan, facilitated by OIC-COMSTECH.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Omer Chaudhry and senior university officials warmly received the delegation. They expressed GCU’s strong commitment to stand with the people of Palestine and to provide every possible academic and research assistance to partner universities in Gaza. Vice Chancellor emphasised that rebuilding Gaza’s universities is a collective responsibility of the global academic community.
