MAGIC BOARD #36

We will talk about problems related to mobility, such as problem going up or down the staircase, and problem simply standing or sitting.

1)Climbing up the stairs

-It’s a sign of low Vitamin D. It is essential to have a proper level of this vitamin as it is important for muscle contraction, and it’s deficiency makes it hard to lift the legs. It also causes poor calcium absorption, leading to bone discomfort, especially in the knees and legs. Moreover, without enough of it, body struggles to generate energy which makes even small activities like stair climbing feel exhausting.

2)Climbing down the stairs

-It’s a sign of low knee cartilage. Climbing down the stairs puts higher stress on the knees than going up, making cartilage loss more noticeable as its role is to absorb the impact. Applying fenugreek paste daily can help with the same. Fenugreek contains polyphenols and flavonoids, which have anti inflammatory properties. It also has mucilage that retains moisture in joints, and antioxidants that protect cartilage cells from damage.

3)Standing

-It’s a sign of inflammation in the joints. Inflammation makes the joints swollen, making it harder to straighten them when standing. Chronic inflammation can also weaken the muscles around the joints. Now, turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful anti inflammatory that reduces joint swelling and pain, and black pepper increases curcumin absorption by upto 2000%, along with the calcium and vitamin D from the milk.

4)Sitting

-It could signal a risk of arthritis. When you sit, your hips, knees, and lower back bear constant pressure. If you have early arthritis, inflammation makes joints stiff and painful, making it hard to sit for long. Meanwhile, exercising keeps the joints lubricated, strengthens muscles, and improves the blood flow, all these prevent stiffness and lower joint stress.

MAGIC BOARD #34

We will talk about the types of headaches and a simple and effective home remedy for each.

1)On the front of head

-Lower your strees. As, when you’re stressed your body releases cortisol and adrenaline which leads to muscle tightness in the forehead. There is a pulling effect on the connective tissues over the skull which irritates the trigeminal nerve. Moreover, the serotonin levels drop, as well as the blood circulation.

2)On the top of head

-Drink water with salt, as your body is screaming for electrolytes and hydration. When you’re dehydrated, the brain loses water and shrinks, pulling on the brain covering. There’s also a reduced blood flow to the brain for which the brain compensates by narrowing blood vessels, leading to tightness and pain at the top of the head. Moreover, electrolytes help transmit nerve signals properly, and a lack of them makes the nerves more sensitive to pain.

3)Behind the head

-Massage your neck. The muscles in the neck become stiff due to poor posture over time, these tight muscles pull on the base of the skull which creates a pressure on the back of the head. The occipetal nerves get compressed passing through the stiff muscles, signalling pain. Moreover, this stiffness can restrict the blood circulation to the back of the head.

4)One one side of head

-Soak feet in warm water mixed with salt. Migraines involve expanded blood vessels in the head, and soaking feet in warm salt water draws the blood downward towards them. Moreover, warm salt water activates the parasympathetic nerves and reduces cortisol. The feet also contain pressure points linked to the brain and soaking them relaxes nerve pathways.
