Possibilities Schools

The Education Emergency Fund (EEF) supports the education needs of children from disadvantaged households on a one-off basis. It caters to children studying at any educational level in need of emergency educational support, such as, inability to pay admission or exam fees due to a sudden change in circumstances or poverty. By doing so, it ensures that children do not drop out of school or stop learning for financial reasons.

Education Support Program (ESP) providing support to children through Childhood Safety Net Funds which provides financial assistance to students in primary schools. The idea of ESP is to identify all those children who cannot afford education at primary level and then admit them into their nearest schools. These children attend regular schools despite the fact whatever their fee structures are, their all expenses including all their basic school going supplies are paid by the Possibilities Foundation. ESP is currently supporting over 200 children in Pakistan.

Possibilities Schools are a unique endeavor designed to provide out-of-school children from impoverished backgrounds a good educational foundation to lift them from poverty and child labor. They are informal schools, circumventing the high costs of building brick-and-mortar schools, which can be opened in any location by renting existing buildings. This not only brings down the cost of education per child but ensures that the children of a community do not have to wait for a formal school to be built to start receiving education.

Possibilities Foundations aims to establish Possibilities Schools in disadvantaged communities across Pakistan. Our vision is to provide free primary school education to millions of children who cannot attain formal education due to internal or external constraints. These children can be mainstreamed either into public schools or formal vocational training after completing their primary education, improving the literacy ratio and reducing child labor in the country.
