This launch represents a major step forward in our mission to create an environment where innovation thrives and students gain the practical, future-focused skills essential for success in the tech world.

The **CAST Lab** has been designed as a dedicated hub for advanced software development, research exploration, real-world project building, and creative problem-solving. It will also play a vital role in supporting students with their **Final Year Projects**, offering guidance, tools, and an ecosystem that strengthens their technical capabilities.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the **Department of CS & IT**, especially **Sir Nabeel (HOD), Sir Faran, Sir Adnan, Sir Mudassir , Sir Mohsin, and Sir Feraz**, for their remarkable dedication and teamwork. Their commitment, vision, and continuous efforts have been instrumental in establishing CAST Lab and uplifting the academic standards of the department.

We also express our heartfelt gratitude to our Principal Sir Abid Bilal and respected staff members for their unwavering support and guidance. Their leadership and encouragement have been central to bringing this initiative to life and strengthening the department’s commitment to excellence.

📚✨ **Rebirth of a Legacy!** ✨📚

After a hiatus of 18 months, literary life has returned to FG Degree College Lahore with renewed spirit and purpose! The erstwhile *English Literature Club* has now been *rebranded as the Daud Kamal English Literary Circle* — paying homage to the timeless voice of one of Pakistan’s finest English poets.

The Circle proudly resumed its activities with a thought-provoking *seminar on the Literature of the Middle Ages*, held in the newly built Smart Room. The event was *graced by our honourable Principal, Prof. Muhammad Abid Bilal*, who inspired both students and faculty through his insightful interaction.

Adding further depth to the occasion, *Mr. Hamid Fareed*, *Alumnus of the Department of English and former Secretary of the English Literature Club*, joined as *Guest Speaker*, inspiring students and members of the Daud Kamal English Literary Circle with his reflections on the enduring relevance of literature in contemporary times.

*Asst. Prof. Ali Inan*, Director of the Daud Kamal English Literary Circle, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Principal for his *vision and support* in reviving the rich literary traditions of the former English Literature Club under a new and enduring identity.

Faculty members of the Department of English, *Mr. Umair Yaseen* and *Mr. Abrar*, were also present. The Literary Circle extends special thanks to *Mr. Faran Shokat,* Lecturer in Computer Science, for logistics support, and to our media team for the coverage.
