The Department of Islamic Studies at Imperial College of Business Studies (ICBS), Lahore, convened a one-day academic seminar entitled “A Special Study of Nafahat-e-Tafsir.” The primary objective of the seminar was to foster in-depth scholarly discourse on Pakistani Qur’anic exegesis and to examine contemporary interpretative methodologies within the field of Islamic studies.

The proceedings were chaired by Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmad Malik, S.I. (M), whose esteemed academic leadership and profound scholarly insights significantly enriched the dialogue. The event was honored by the presence of the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Humayun Abbas, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic & Oriental Learning at GC University Faisalabad, who graced the assembly with his valuable and thought-provoking remarks.

Eminent scholars, including Prof. Dr. Tahir Mustafa, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Naeem, Dr. Majid Mushtaq, Dr. Ahmad Raza Khan, and Dr. Muhammad Kareem Khan, presented their research-based perspectives. Distinguished academics and researchers elucidated the intellectual depth of Nafahat-e-Tafsir, underscored its significance within the corpus of Pakistani interpretative literature, and explored its relevance in addressing contemporary research challenges in Islamic studies. The seminar provided a substantive platform for academic exchange, critical inquiry, and the dissemination of knowledge among faculty members and students.
