Department of Chemistry, School of Science, University of Management and Technology participated in ChemSmart 2026 held at Expo Centre Lahore from April 23–25, 2026. A great opportunity for students and faculty to explore innovations, industry trends, and advancements in chemistry.

A BS Chemistry student, Ajmal Naz, from the Department of Chemistry, University of Management and Technology, participated as a speaker at the Pakistan Chemical Forum 2026 conferences and seminars.

He presented his research work on “Biodegradable Thin Films for Advanced Applications” and shared his ideas on a professional platform.

Department of Chemistry, University of Management and Technology organized an industrial visit to US Denim Mills for MS Chemistry and BS Chemistry (7th & 8th semester) students along with faculty members.

The visit gave students valuable practical exposure to industrial processes and helped them understand the real-world application of chemistry in the textile industry. It was a great learning experience that connected classroom knowledge with industry practices

The SSC Community Service Task Force organized an awareness walk to highlight the importance of Earth Day. The team engaged with faculty members, who shared valuable insights on environmental responsibility and the need to protect our planet.

Respected Dean Prof. Dr. M. Imran Jamil and Associate Dean Prof. Dr. M. Javaid also joined the walk, interacting with students and encouraging meaningful action toward a sustainable future.
