یکم محرم دوسرے خلیفہ،حضرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے خسر،عشرہ مبشرہ صحابی حضرت ؓ کا یوم شہادت ہے۔ انکا لقب فاروق، کنیت ابو حفص دونوں رسول پاک (ص) کے عطا کردہ ہیں۔ آپ (رض) کا نسب نویں پشت میں رسول پاک (ص) سے جا ملتا ہے.رسول پاک (ص) کی نویں پشت میں کعب کے 2 بیٹے ہیں مرہ اور عدی۔ رسول پاک (ص) مرہ کی اولاد میں سے ہیں،جبکہ ؓ عدی کی اولاد میں سے ہیں۔انکےدور حکومت 20 لاکھ مربع میل کا علاقہ فتح ہوا۔عراق،مصر،لیبیا،شام،ایران،خراسان،مشرقی اناطولیہ،جنوبی آرمینیا سجستان اور #یروشلم فتح ہوا.
