At Aghosh Grammar Higher Secondary School, our Class 9 students successfully performed a practical demonstration of a centrifuge machine 🔬
✨ What is a Centrifuge Machine?
A centrifuge is a scientific device that spins liquid samples (like blood) at high speed. By using centrifugal force, it separates components based on their density.
🩸 Blood Separation Practical:
When blood is spun in the centrifuge:
🔴 Red Blood Cells settle at the bottom (heaviest)
🟡 Plasma remains on top (lightest)
👩🔬👨🔬 Students learned how plasma and blood cells are separated in laboratories and hospitals, connecting theory with real-life applications.
📚 This hands-on activity enhanced scientific understanding, observation skills, and interest in laboratory science.
