Insulin stops the use of fat as an energy source by inhibiting the release of glucagon. With the exception of the metabolic disorder diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome, insulin is provided within the body in a constant proportion to remove excess glucose from the blood, which otherwise would be toxic.

Appendix :-
The appendix gets a bad press. It is usually treated as a body part that lost its function millions of years ago. All it seems to do is occasionally get infected and cause appendicitis. Yet recently it has been discovered that the appendix is very useful to the bacteria that help your digestive system function. They use it to get respite from the strain of the frenzied activity of the gut, somewhere to breed and help keep the gut's bacterial inhabitants topped up.
Quasars are so bright they can vastly outshine our entire Milky Way Galaxy and are among the brightest objects. They’re produced by matter falling towards a violent and feeding super-massive black hole at the centre of a galaxy, usually hundreds of millions of times the mass of the Sun. The matter circles the black hole in the accretion disk at tremendous speeds, emitting large amounts of light as it gets destroyed by the colossal gravity

The brightest quasar is 3C 273, 2 billion light years away.
If a marshmallow were dropped from a foot above the surface of a neutron star it would have the energy of a modern atomic bomb.
Helium is the only substance in the universe that cannot be in solid form.It can’t be cold enough.
Day can be longer than a year on some planets. For instance a day on the planet Mercury is twice as long as its year.
The future of the Universe may depend on how much dark matter there is. If there is too much, its gravity will eventually stop the Universe’s expansion – and make it shrink again.
The black hole at the centre of the Sombrero Galaxy weighs in at 1 billion times that of the Sun, one of the most massive black holes ever measured
