Three bins include :
1)Recyclable materials(Bottles, wrappers, boxes etc)
2)Compost Material (kitchen waste)
3)All other material will go in this category(wood,mirror, glass etc)
~We as a citizen have a vision to do something good for our beloved country.For this reason we have initiated this programme.We need your help and support. Our vision:
1)Initiate the segregation of Waste at source level
.
2)To make each individual we approach a responsible citizen-Say no to littering.
3)Focus on the advantages we can get from Waste. Many children are studying , gaining education and living on the basis of this "useless" material we throw away anywhere on ground we find it easy. Have you seen children or teenagers on road at noon or night collecting shoppers and bottles from ground? We throw them on ground or EVEN in bins, and they collect them? Because they need to earn,eat, and support a large family. Next question that pop up in our mind is that how they can earn from empty bottles? Are they going to save water in it? NO
They will sell the RECYCLABLE MATERIAL(the first category described) and will have money :)
How intelligent they are. More than us Of course. That's what Aabroo Educational Welfare Organization-AEWO is doing. For their detailed information go to http://www.aabroo.org/
They are helping the less-privileged students and we want to support them from this initiative. We will try to collect the recyclable waste as much as we can. What about other too bins? The 2nd category will be given to our fellow students for growing their vegetables (Compost is a great fertilizer, just google it)
And Finally the 3rd categories will be collected by Lahore Waste Management Company.They have been doing an excellent work from past few years and yes of course segregating the waste. So this 3rd category will be dumped to the landfill site we have in Lahore at Lakhodair. Let's promise our self that we will not litter on the ground and will throw the garbage in the bins (separately if the provided different bins)
