🏗️ Truss Bridge Design Construction & Load Testing ⚙️
The students of the 2nd Semester, B.Sc. MET Department successfully completed the Truss Bridge Design Project as part of the Applied Mechanics course.
Students designed and built truss bridge models using popsicle sticks and tested their structural performance under gradually applied loads. The activity provided practical exposure to:
✔ Structural stability
✔ Load distribution
✔ Truss behavior
✔ Engineering design concepts
✔ Failure analysis under loading conditions
The testing phase was especially exciting as students observed the real-time behavior of their bridges until the point of failure, allowing them to connect theoretical concepts with practical engineering applications.
👏 We appreciate the creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills demonstrated by all participating students. Such hands-on activities play an important role in strengthening problem-solving abilities and practical understanding in engineering education.

🎓 Successful Affiliation Visit by UET Lahore at B.Sc. MET Department, GCT Railway Road Lahore, Dated 06-05-2026🎓
The B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering Technology Department proudly hosted the Affiliation Committee from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore for the extension evaluation visit of the B.Sc. MET Program.
The honorable visiting committee comprised:

• Prof. Dr. Khalid Farooq – Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering
• Prof. Dr. Asad Naeem Shah – Chairman, Mechanical Engineering Department & Program Expert

The respected committee appreciated the department’s academic progress, organized course documentation, and commitment toward quality education and OBE standards. A detailed presentation was delivered by the departmental faculty, followed by lab inspections and academic review sessions.
The visit concluded on a positive note with valuable recommendations for further enhancement of laboratory facilities and continued academic excellence.

Health & Safety Workshop in BSc MET Deptt:
Community Training Emergency Service Department Rescue 1122 Lahore, conducted a Training workshop on " First Aid and Basic Life Support" on Saturday May 03, 2025 in the Computer Lab of B. Sc. MET Department.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Zahid Khan (Senior Instructor), Mr. Ali Raza (Instructor) & Mr. Usman Saeed (Instructor) from Community Training Emergency Service Department Rescue 1122 Headquarter Lahore, in two sessions.
Session 1: First Aid
Session 2: Basic Life Support
All teaching and non teaching staff and students of the 6th semester of B. Sc. MET Department attended the workshop.
