🇺🇸 The Birth of the U.S. Army (1775)

The United States Army was officially established on June 14, 1775, by the Second Continental Congress. At the time, the American colonies were beginning their fight for independence from Great Britain during the American Revolutionary War.

Before a national army existed, each colony relied on local militias. As the conflict grew, colonial leaders realized they needed a unified military force. Congress created the Continental Army and appointed George Washington as its Commander-in-Chief on June 15, 1775.

Washington faced enormous challenges. His soldiers often lacked food, clothing, weapons, and training. Despite these hardships, he built a disciplined army that continued fighting against one of the world's strongest military powers.

One of the most difficult moments came during the winter of 1777–1778 at Valley Forge, where the army endured freezing temperatures and severe shortages. The soldiers' determination and improved training helped transform the Continental Army into a more effective fighting force.

After years of battles, the Continental Army, with support from France, achieved a decisive victory at the Siege of Yorktown in 1781. This victory led to the end of the Revolutionary War. The Treaty of Paris in 1783 officially recognized the independence of the United States.

The Continental Army later became the foundation of today's United States Army. Every year on June 14, the U.S. Army celebrates its birthday, honoring the courage, sacrifice, and service of the soldiers who helped create a new nation.

One of WWII's Most Horrifying Crimes | Babi Yar

One of the darkest chapters of World War II happened in just 48 hours.
In September 1941, after N**i Germany captured Kyiv, thousands of Jewish families were ordered to gather with their belongings.
Believing they were being relocated, they were instead marched to a ravine called Babi Yar.
There, N**i killing squads, assisted by local collaborators, carried out one of the largest mass shootings of the Holocaust.
German records reported 33,771 Jewish victims murdered over two days. Thousands of other civilians were also killed at the site in the months that followed.
Today, Babi Yar stands as a place of remembrance—a reminder of the human cost of hatred and why history must never be forgotten.

🗽 How the Statue of Liberty Was Built – The Incredible Story Behind America's Icon! 🇺🇸

📖 Story Explained

The Statue of Liberty is one of the world's most famous monuments and a symbol of freedom. Designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, the statue was a gift from France to the United States to celebrate friendship and liberty.

Construction began in France, where skilled workers carefully shaped hundreds of thin copper sheets over a massive iron framework engineered by Gustave Eiffel. After the statue was completed in France, it was taken apart into hundreds of pieces and packed into crates for a journey across the Atlantic Ocean.

When the pieces arrived in New York, workers rebuilt the statue on its giant pedestal using towering scaffolding, cranes, ropes, and countless hours of hard work. In 1886, the Statue of Liberty was officially unveiled, welcoming millions of immigrants arriving by sea and becoming one of the greatest symbols of hope, democracy, and freedom in the world.
